“Nutcases to the left of me, Jokers to the Right …. here I am“.  Yes, I took a bit of license with the words but seems my invitation to come to the south where we display all our nutcases out on the front porch got through to someone.  Okay, *just* maybe Cindy Sheedevil didn’t get her invite from me officially, but she’s in the south and is coming to the gates of Fort Benning, GA to protest the war.  Actually, I don’t see how she thinks protesting at a military base will stop the war, or force Granny Pelosi to start impeachment hearings – but nut cases never need valid reasons for what they do.

Basil is not happy.  

Neither is hubby, but I reminded him we are a few days out of final retirement. 

Nope, she won’t be received with open arms:

Martin Luther King Jr. couldn’t preach. Hosea Williams is blamed for a particularly hot summer. Jane Fonda got a cold shoulder, and she came to raise money for unwed teens, not slam the Vietnam War. And no matter how long Father Roy and his band of protesters rally on our streets, they’ll be rabble-rousers from out of town.

Cindy Sheehan should know these things before she arrives Saturday to explain why Congress needs to impeach the president.

The mayor of Columbus won’t be there with a key to the city. The Infantry Band won’t play. The police chief hasn’t canceled off days for the cops. Puppetistas won’t prance down Benning Road either.

Nothing personal, Cindy. People here just have a strong case of xenophobia, especially if you come from the Left Coast.

A commentor on the above article hopes she steps on Federal Property but I don’t. It’s suppose to be a a hot, hazy, humid, southern day tomorrow and maybe the humidity will knocked her down and move her on to her next victim.

This is a sad, sad women in serious need of professional help. I say let her come and protest, rant and rath and move on. We have more serious issues to deal with right now – like why is my tv screen purple?
