Tuesday Sputterings 6/12

Specials Today

Texas has decided that certain types of Sex Offenses (those against smaller children) should have a sentencing option of the death penalty. Holy major deterrent Batman!! We’re going to have to keep an eye on this.

Of course one possible good thing doesn’t erase a bad, as I learned from one of my readers Tyler, Texas started the “let illegals go to school on the public dole” 25 years ago.

It appears the country is in for a major show-down with its own president.  We don’t want amnesty Mr. President - we want the current laws enforced and the wall built.   Some people are thinking further actions if the bill passes.   I don’t have to hound my respresentatives thankfully - none of them are for amnesty either (that I can find out anyway).

  1. Death penalties for sex crimes are a very, very bad idea. They increase the perp’s incentive to “dispose of the evidence” by disposing of the victim. After all, the victim is the best evidence of the crime.

I’d rather have my sexually abused daughter alive than the death fo the abuser. Besides, prisoners themselves often do the job for society.
