Jo’s Cafe

Another work week is upon us and I flat out don’t want to play.  Maybe its the great weather we’re having, maybe its the feeling of not being part of the “team” yet, who knows; but playing hooky would work for me.  But alas, I won’t.  

Speaking of the great weather, for all the rain we had the last month, it wasn’t steady enough for the folks in Georgia.   Fires and now drought restrictions.  Even though we live in Alabama, we are in need of rain also.  Our wonderful yard guy planted some new grass for us and we have to water it pretty regular until its set.  Please God, can we have a nice soaking rain for about a week? 

We did go see part of the Best Ranger Competition yesterday, cheering on the “home town” favorite; well at least favorite in our eyes.  Team Greenway.     Unfortunately we don’t know who won, because we left before the Buddy Run - but the ceremony is this morning and hubby should be able to find out then.  From the Ledger-Enquirer, “Maj. Liam Collins and Master Sgt. Walter Zajkowski” from Fort Bragg won the competition.  Team Greenway came in 9th.  Not bad for a 47 year old Command Sergeant Major and Son is it?
