“Its for the babies,” the large lady in the lobby of the Publix Grocery store boomed at me when I entered yesterday at lunch. “Buy a hot dog or just give a donation - ITS FOR THE BABIES.” I just walked on by. One lady threw a dollar in the bucket and dashed out the door. Why do they try and guilt us into giving? Are “babies” going to die right and left if I don’t buy a hot dog or donate to the March of Dimes? I don’t think so. Sure the March of Dimes is a great organization, but don’t try and guilt me into giving. That just sends me the other direction.
I see where the VP has now started attacking poor birds in the air. Can’t he stick to lawyers
The blonde, Cortney, is not on Fox N Friends this morning (Saturday) … there is hope!
Sunday Morning Additions:
Fred Thompson has a great article in the Opinion Journal in regard to taxes, and how the cuts have worked. The last paragraph is telling, in that people like Hilliary want the wealth of this nation redistributed to the unwealthy, ie: lazy in my book: He asks, “Are you really interested in tax rates that benefit the economy and raise revenue–or are you interested in redistributing income for political reasons?”
H/T: Betsy for this great read on from Jason Whitlock via the Kansas City Star regarding the Imus Flap. Here is a taste, “Thank you, Don Imus. You’ve given us (black people) an excuse to avoid our real problem. You’ve given Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson another opportunity to pretend that the old fight, which is now the safe and lucrative fight, is still the most important fight in our push for true economic and social equality.”
Do you want Fred Thompson to run as president? Go sign the petition.
More to come…
