Ever since Pope Benedict “spoke the truth from historical records”, Muslims around the world have had their panties in a wad.  Me thinks they do protest a bit too much.  But then again, for those that are blind as bats — this is NOT a religion of peace, but of hatred, evil and vile thinking.  Anyone that reacts in the very way a historical record says they are just prove the point.  Of course the smart thing to have done was just nothing at all, disproving history – but alas, sheep follow the shepherd.

I’ve been reading some great posts on this subject and decided to gather them up and put them here.  They are from my blogroll and feedreader. 

Personally?  I think it’s time true believers of God start taking to the streets in peaceful protest against the continued hatred and violence of this religion.  We need to show them how to “peacefully” protest against something that offends them – even if its their own history. 

Update:  FOX News is no better than the MSM on this issue.  Their front page say’s:

Now if someone is just glancing at headlines, it appears that he apologized for what he said, when he fact he’s sorry that the terrorist, intolerent religion reacted they way they did — true to form.

Inside the story this is further explained:

CASTEL GANDOLFO, Italy  â€” Pope Benedict XVI said Sunday that he was “deeply sorry” about the angry reaction to his recent remarks about Islam, which he said came from a text that didn’t reflect his personal opinion.

“These (words) were in fact a quotation from a medieval text which do not in any way express my personal thought,” Benedict told pilgrims at his summer palace outside Rome.

He did NOT apologize for what he said, he said he felt ”sorry” for the way people reacted to him quoting an historical record.
