I want to thank Tre for holding down the fort while I was otherwise unable to.
Changes changes changes!!! And on top of all that — a damn head cold!
First - My team leader at work decided that she had to move on, and quit on Tuesday — her last day being Friday. That took a 4 person team down to 2. Talk about a kick in the pants! But my remaining co-worker and I will do it! We are women hear us roar and all that shit. I did get to move into my old team leaders office though! Woohooo - I’m out of a cube. There is one itty bitty problem though (it can be lived with if not fixed), about where I want to put my monitor. Seems on the other side of the wall from where I want it is a bunch of electronic stuff for the office (ie: circuit breakers and such) and it causes the picture on my CRT monitor to dance the hula!!! HELP!! I have moved it to the other end of the desk (same wall) and there is no problem — but now my back is to the door.
Second - I have caught this nasty ass head cold from hell. I kept telling the CSM Sunday night it was too cold in the house and kept moving the temp up until it was on 80 and he was sweating! When I got up the next morning my head felt like Orge’s (and probably looked as cute too :wink
My co-worker is like, “Please don’t get sick on me!!” I dosed with Zicam and other meds and although my head is still full of yuck this morning, I “feel” better at least.
Third - Our cable company has an emergency system they use that is pretty effective. No matter what channel you are on, digital or not, the screen goes red, this loud ass siren sounds and we are instructed to go to Channel 3 for further instructions. It’s effective trust me, and if after you go to channel 3 and hear the announcement, you can go back to your other channel. Well Channel 3 on our cable system is Fox News. And some idiot at the cable company screwed up royally. The signal is stuck on the red emergency screen. It says “Emergency Alert System, Tune to channel 3 for emergency message, Tornado Warning”. I can hear Fox news, but what I see is that read screen and above words. And do you think there is an emergency number to call and raise hell about it to someone? NO!!!! It has been like this since I got home last night at 5:30 pm.
I’m sure you all are having a better week!! I know god willing mine will get better, yuckie head and all. Now someone get out of bed and go fix my TV Signal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
