Tired

by Jo | July 2nd, 2005

Basil mentioned being Tired of stuff in general and posted a list. Some of the items on his list sounded really familiar to me:

Long Days
Stupid Liberals
Diets
etc.

So I got to thinking about stuff that makes me tired, or so mad I get tired. Let’s see:

1. Rude Drivers
2. Drivers using cell-phones without head sets
3. People who think they are more important than you
4. Too many commercials during my favorite show
5. Not enough work to do at work
6. Too much work to do at home
7. People driving around with their boom boxes blaring
8. Said above people doing this at 2 am by my house
9. No comments on my blog
10. No visitors to my blog
11. Liars
12. Liberals
13. Drivers not using blinkers
14. People not using manners
15. Grumpy check out people
16. Wal-Mart
17. Forgetting something after grocery shopping
18. Being diabetic
19. A printer running out of ink
20. A store not having an ink cartridge I need
21. Posting stupid lists so my blog doesn’t look unmanaged.
22. My dogs barking at moving grass in the neighbors yard at 5 am

  1. For me:

    1. Slow drivers (this is one reason I don’t drive a large truck or carry a concealed pistol: I’d be too tempted to cause mayhem when I get behind people who do 40 in a 55 zone)

    2. Noisy / undisciplined / disrespectful children

    3. People who talk too much

    4. People who otherwise waste my time

    5. People who are late to the dinner table

I’m with you on #22. Our family owns a total of eight dogs (yeah, we’re Southerners!), and if one of them gets going, they ALL do. Really annoying at the dinner table.

  2. Drivers who think that obeying the trafic laws don’t apply to them and nearly hit me every night as I cross the street. The light is red for a reason people!

Every time I see a traffic accident a small smile crosses my lips because duh-amn I know they totally deserve it!

  3. Try as I might, I could not escape the traffic thing and that is… my biggest complaint of the local scene.

Just 30 min ago, I was on US 80 at Woodland Drive and some wannabe driver run the light, almost hitting me. I pulled off the road and caught up to their bumper at the Winn Dixie just to see a “Tag Lost” where their tag should be…

I have no doubt that driving like they did will undoubtedly result in the loss of tag and liscense. Too bad I had already taken my blood pressure meds or I would have followed him to his hole in the ground and taken a snap shot of his address…

We need to remember that around here… we are neighbors.

  4. Oh, the impatient drivers are the worst for me. They’re the ones who think they deserve to be in the far left lane and NO ONE ELSE DOES, because it’s far more important that they get where they’re going!

They also like to try and intimidate you by hanging on your back bumper.

  5. Sometimes I was I had a huge railroad tie on the back and front of my car to keep these asswipes away from me. When the CSM had the critter rack on the back during hunting seasons, people kept back away from him. I just can’t see one like that on my Saturn

Redoubt, wouldn’t be surprised. We had some twit women almost take us out going into Main Street Village to pick up supper from Country’s. No Blinker Nothing — thought the CSM was going to shoot her.
