So off to a relaxing weekend. You all have a blessed one too!

So I’ve been away awhile it seems … Memorial Day being the last post. I guess my desire to blog has gone on vacation - a very long vacation it seems.

I don’t know why I don’t feel like blogging. Maybe its the lack of time, maybe its the lack of topics that I don’t feel have been blogged about already … who knows.

But I’m still here .. still around the internet and watching what is going on here and in the world.

Yes, I’m still disgusted with what is going on in this country with the man-child in charge. He has proven all that we feared about him during the campaign and more. He has absolutely NO clue how to react to events that are out of his control. He is of the same group that tore into GW Bush during Katrina. Doesn’t seem as easy as you thought to make things right does is Mr. Obama? The government just can’t swoop in and save the day like you claimed Bush should have. Shoe is a bit tight now that its on YOUR foot uh? Suck it up and be a man. Make a decision and stick with it. Show some back-bone already.

Paul McCartney can wait … you have a country to run.

We were off to Raleigh, NC last weekend for a wedding. Oldest niece was married to a very nice young man and the love shown on both their faces throughout the whole event. Its the first time I’ve been around the SGM’s family in a long time. Long drives don’t go as well as when we were younger, and we’re still feeling the effects. Next time we go – and we will – we’re flying. Screw the traffic and stupid drivers.

We have decided to get Lasik. The older I get, the more expensive it is to replace my glasses with the updates. I have a regular pair and a pair of sunglasses. The cost of my glasses and then the SGM’s and his contacts are to the point we can cover one Lasik treatment and be done with it. Sure they won’t be able to fix my reading and will have to use reading glasses, but the thought of being able to “see” when I get up and not hunt the glasses and being able to wear all kinds of sunglasses is just … exciting! Hopefully it will all work out.

So off to a relaxing weekend. You all have a blessed one too!

Later!

.

“Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.” Hamlet Act 1, scene 4, 87–91

I really cannot believe on most days I am living at this time in our country’s history where the government reminds me of the mafia of old.

We have the leader of this great nation acting like a seven-year old school yard bully.

He disses our long time ally Israel; has the Dalai Lama leave the White House by the back door, past the trash; accepts a book from one of the worst dictators on the planet; and then turns around and sucks up to Mexico’s president and allows him to diss not only our country, but a particular state – and throws him a lavish party on tax payer money ta boot!

Please tell me I’m dreaming.

… and we thought Jimmy Carter was bad.

Note: Anthony D. Weiner (D – NY) is a putz.

Note: Alan Grayson (D – Fl) is a bigger putz.

On a personal note … my sugar has been all over the scale this week. The SGM(r) went to the doctor last week with a nasty sinus infection and doc knowing that an infection wouldn’t be good for me either (I was fighting a head cold), gave us both antibiotics. Well evidently this time the Levaquin didn’t sit well with me. When I stopped taking it, my sugar balanced out. Weird. I’ve taking it before with I did have a sinus infection. Guess when you don’t have an infection it messes with my glucose.

I have decided to stop using the tanning booths. So I’m on the hunt for a good tan in a can product. Anyone have something they use that works well for them? Price is not an option. I like having a nice summer tan, but at my age its time to stop baking in the fake sun.

So I’m off to handle my weekend. We have a couple movies to watch from Netflix, and of course Doctor Who tonight.

You all have a great weekend and week to come!

G0d Bless

Racism is such a harsh word. Its vile meaning harkens back to the civil rights era when blacks were being victimized by the government and segregated from the rest if society.

But today the word racism is used to mark people who are opposed to the progressive left. See, the progressive left believes that school yard bullying and name calling will guilt someone into doing what they want. Unfortunately, the progressive left also has the lame-stream media to help them out. Its an untruth that is being perpetuated because the progressive left are wanting the total overhaul of the American way of life, and people are fighting them tooth and nail. Instead of arguing for their want of socialism with facts and debating like adults, they resort to childish falsehoods.

If you believe that illegal aliens should be punished for their illegal actions, you are a racist in the progressive left’s eyes.

If you believe what President Obama is doing to our country is wrong, you are a racist in the progressive left’s eyes.

They fail to see the hypocracy in their name-calling. It was the democrats who fought for the blacks in this country to NOT have the rights of the white people. It was the democrats who said that if Obama were elected, racism would be no more in this country.

Yet they fall back to their old tactics of trying to guilt people into doing their bidding.

Here’s the problem – we who oppose Obama and support conservative values are not being guilted into submission any longer. We will no longer be silent and oppressed by the progressive left. We have been silent and passive too long. The end Obama and the progressive left want is nothing like what the founders wanted for this country. The total destruction of a nation is not the way to keep us the strongest nation on the planet.

No – you can call me a racist all you want you on the progressive left … but we know your history and we are going to fight you tooth and nail.

In the end, we will prevail.

Weekend Wrap April 24, 2010

What a beautiful Saturday I woke up to – Thunderstorms

I hope these storms just blow right on through as I need to head to Atlanta today to pick the SGM(r) up from his extended stay in Germany. He was finally able to get out of there – having been delayed due to the ash floating around.

We had some really sad news this week.

Ft. Benning ranger killed in Iraq

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service)—An Army Ranger died April 18 while conducting combat operations in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with Company B, 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

Staff Sgt. James R. Patton was conducting a combat operation in northern Iraq when the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in which he was riding crashed.

Patton is survived by his wife Beatriz and daughter Cecilia of Columbus, Ga., and his parents Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory and Sheila Patton of Indian Mound, Tenn.

via: WTVM.com

CSM Patton and the SGM(r) have been friends in the Army since basic training. James will be buried in Arlington in the next week. My heart and prayers go out to the Patton and Ranger family. There are no words, just sorrow.

Arizona has decided its high time to do something about the illegal alien problem in their state. The federal government has done diddly squat to protect the citizens of that state, and the country. Where is the wall? Obama says he is going to reduce the number of border agents … how’s that for protection uh?

(CNSNews.com) – Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Of course the more illegals that Obama can let into the country to give amnesty to will help him in the election of 2012 – because of course all the illegals once given US citizenship will repay him by voting him back in. (God help us).

By the way – did you know that in Obama’s financial reform bill there is a provision to create another government organization (paid for by your taxes) to monitor “all” financial transactions in the country? Yup … I said “all”. The section doesn’t say “banking”, it says “all”. That means your financial transactions too. The United States Government is going to invade your financial privacy by monitoring what you buy and where. Now isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black? Wasn’t it the left who was screaming about privacy when GW Bush wanted to monitor phone calls of terrorists?

But you know what? This is stuffed with a lot of things that are going to — that are going to become apparent over time that are going to be problems for Democrats. You may not know about this. It creates a new office and gives it a half a billion dollars a year and a huge start-up for computer systems in order to monitor every financial transaction in the United States and to use that data to arrive at policy recommendations about sensible regulation.

So they’re literally going to have the capacity to go through everybody’s brokerage account and everybody’s checking account and everybody’s credit card and everybody’s financial transactions and collect — sweep that information and then analyze it. via On the Record with Greta / Rove’s Take: Races to Watch in November, Finance Regulation Reform and Tea Party Power

The Obama administration wants control of everything you do in your life. How sad really that people who voted him in still don’t get out dangerous he is to the way of life so long ago given to us by the founders.

Well my weekend is packed – so off to get it all started.

God Bless you all!

Weekend Wrap for 04/10/10

When a supposedly grown man is afraid of a women – it makes you wonder what kind of backbone this man has to take on the job of President of the United States.

Welcome to the weekend!

Barack Obama has decided (and should we be surprised of it really?) that we must draw down our nukes and with that, flew over to Russia to sign a START. I’m sure as soon as the pomp and circumstance was over with, the Russian President went back to his office, took of his tie, poured himself a Vodka and proceed to laugh his ass off. Does anyone besides the liberals really believe that Russia is going to draw down any of their nukes? Please … give me a break. While Iran is producing nukes as fast as they possibly can, Obama turns a blind eye and reduces our safety all in a showy event in Russia.

This man has ants in his pants. He can’t stay on US soil for any length of time before his gets the jitters and has to leave.

Putz

How was your week? Mine got off to a roaring start with the flood of yearly pollen. This stuff was so thick you could scoop it with a shovel. Normally I take a couple antihistamine tablets through pollen season and I’m fine. Not this time. Everyone I spoke to was having a harder time dealing with it than they ever have. I got sick to the point I had to put the vaporizer on to give my lungs a break. It helped enough to turn the tied, and then it finally rained on Thursday. It helped but alas the nasty yellow crap was back Friday.

Oh, speaking of Obama – did you hear about the swipe he took at Palin? She was asked by Sean Hannity her opinion on the proclamation by Obama we won’t as a country won’t use nuclear weapons to retaliate against anyone that attacks us. She likened it to someone going to the school yard and daring someone to hit them and proclaiming they won’t hit back. Of course, when questioned about what she said Obama made a snarky comment to the lack of her knowledge with nuclear issues.

Someone tell me when Obama ever gained any knowledge? Chicago? ACORN? Just where?

Bully

We are getting a new program at work that is an electronic filing system to replace the one we have. The original one was to one day allow for us to have a paperless office. (snort) But it is clunky, sucks up a lot of memory and bandwidth and although does allow for us to be able to electronically file information, its very, very time consuming to use. In addition the current system does not allow for us to make notes on the filed documents, forcing us to print out what we need, make the notes, rescan it and … well you see the problem. The new system has our mail scanned to it, it goes to the client’s folder, we process it and can make notes on the filed documents. We spent two days in training on the system. All these while fighting that stupid pollen fall.

Obama gets to put another liberal ass judge on SCOTUS again. We are getting a tit for tat, so lets not get our panties in a snit over it. He would put SEIU Andy Stern up there if he could. We’ll see what happens. Maybe its time we lock down DC with this confirmation until past the November elections.

Today is beautiful and I’m off to run errands and have fun.

You have fun too!

.

Now isn’t that special?

In the near future, when you get sick, you will be tagged at the door of your government run doctor’s office and told to sit down and shut up. As you wait your life away, the television in the corner will be running reruns of Obama speeches as he tells America “Yes We Can”. You look oddly at the gentlemen next to you as the hours tick away and ask, “How long have you been here?” He grunts, looks at his watch, then at his calendar … then replies, “Two weeks.”

Maybe this is a bit on the dramatic side, but these are the fears of many people in this country. I am one of them. Currently, the medications I take non-standard in nature. Tricare (government health insurance) is trying to change me to generics and other medications that are in my medical records showing they a) don’t work, and b) I’m allergic to them. Twice Tricare has just changed the script on me! Fortunately, the pharmacy and my doctor refuse to listen to them. BUT once Obama-care is fully enacted … I’m screwed.

While the fight was going on in Washington, CBS took a poll and found 62% of the people responding wanted the GOP to keep fighting against this massive take over. Its funny that people on twitter and facebook were going on and on about how children will now be covered for pre-existing conditions. Well – they didn’t read the bill [Pelosi (video)]. Full protection for children won’t come until 2014. Hey Obama-bots!! Jokes on you!

In November – the 62% of the country that did not want this ram-down bill will have the opportunity to start making changes. WE CAN take back Washington and put things right again.

Have a great weekend comrade!

Welcome to the weekend! Here in my part of the country we’re drying off from a bunch of thunderstorms that came through dumping not only lots of rain, but a bit of hail too. Figures the SGM(R) would be “outside” working when they came through. Never fails. Our lawn guy put some rye grass down and now our yard is “green” from all the rain. Makes our neighbor’s lawns look awful. (hee hee) We are not into the Jones’ crap that happens in some neighborhoods, but you can tell a difference!

I am soooo ready for summer. Tans, shorts, walking the dogs and all that comes with summer. I’m tired of being cold – period.

Tom Hanks may be a great actor, but bottom line: He’s an idiot.

“Back in World War II,” he told Brinkley, “we viewed the Japanese as ‘yellow, slant-eyed dogs’ that believed in different gods. They were out to kill us because our way of living was different. We, in turn, wanted to annihilate them because they were different. Does that sound familiar, by any chance, to what’s going on today?” In a separate interview, Hanks referred to the war in the Pacific as one of “racism and terror.” via: LA Times

Here we go again with the racism against terrorists shit. Mr. Hanks – when you can prove to me that the 13 people who flew planes into the twin towers and the pentagon where white, 6′ blonde, bikini clad women from Sweden, then you can call us racists. You sir – are a boob. (Aren’t liberals supposedly more intelligent because they go to better schools?)

When fireman and rescue workers are hurt doing their paid jobs rescuing people and putting out fires, does the government pay them for their injuries? Well, no. There is no huge pot of money they get for doing their jobs. So why are we giving the rescue workers money for doing their jobs on 9/11? Yes, there were issues with the air after the towers came down, but isn’t their issues with the air when any building comes down? Isn’t that why they wear masks on site? If the government was behind these buildings going down, yes – we should pay; but they weren’t. I’m sorry if they were hurt or are having issues now, but you work in a high-hazard job and shit happens. I don’t see where it’s the government’s responsibility to pay you over and above what you normally receive in your line of duty.

Speaking of idiots – Nancy Pelosi revealed a lot the 0ther day when she was talking about the Obama-care bill being rammed through.

“You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention—it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting.” via her own website

She tells us a lot right here in this one paragraph. It’s not about healthcare, its about controlling America and what they do in their lives. Diabetes happens. Yes, prevention can stop some Type II diabetes from happening, but what about those people that are Type 1′s from birth? How’s Nancy’s idea going to prevent that? The health-care issue in Washington right now is not about caring for the sicking, but controlling the masses. Look at New York wanting to ban salt. That’s what Nancy is talking about.

Liberals do not believe the masses can take care of themselves and it is the government’s responsibility to do so. It doesn’t help that there are a lot of people already on the government dole, and they are adding to it daily by continuing to extend the unemployment benefits from our back pockets. But let’s keep Nancy out there flapping – because the more she opens her mouth as far as she can (until the next botox treatment) the more she reveals what is behind her and the other liberals’ actions in Washington.

Daylight savings time again …. don’t get me started. Spring Forward this weekend.

Off to the weekend and the week. Have a blessed one!

Welcome to the weekend. Been a long time since I sat down and did a weekend wrap.

After this week’s dog and pony show in Washington I think it will be a very, very long time before this country elects an inexperienced junior senator from the State of Illinois to the presidency again.

Arrogance on display at its finest. “I’m the President”. Yeah, we know that Obama. We are reminded every day the unemployment rate goes up, every time you bash Vegas, every time you stand in front of your TOTUS in front of six-graders, and etc.

President Barack Obama’s Blair House health care summit was billed as political theater — but it was so dull in parts, it’s hard to imagine anyone would demand a repeat performance.

And boring never looked so beautiful to House and Senate Republicans.

Seven thick hours of substantive policy discussion, preening and low-grade political clashes had Hill staffers nodding at their desks, policy mavens buzzing — and participants declaring the marathon C-SPAN-broadcast session a draw.

But in this case, the tie goes to Republicans, according to operatives on both sides of the aisle — because the stakes were so much higher for Democrats trying to build their case for ramming reform through using a 51-vote reconciliation tactic.

Read more: No clear winner in seven-hour gabfest

I couldn’t listen to it because I was at work, but man was twitter burning up with what was going on!!! Then Rush hit the airways at noon and from there I heard all the high and low parts. Obama’s snarky remark to John McCain about the campaign being over had me glad I wasn’t driving because I was laughing so hard at that statement I would have wrecked if not parked. Sen. McCain said he was reminded of that every day. Of course Obama thinks he’s some great professor and must “preach/teach” the masses what is and isn’t. I really do believe this man thinks we are all a bunch of dumb brain dead idiots who need a King. Not.So.Much.

The unemployment rate keeps rising (even after we were promised by King Obama that it wouldn’t go above 8% if we passed his stimulus package, but what’s a little lie between friends right?). Sure, the O Administration can spin this and that number – mathematicians can make numbers do whatever the highest payer to them tells them to say. No matter what report, or who, you listen to – the situation is bad and the O administration is making it worse. Sure, extend unemployment payments to those that voted for you — keep them dependent on you O … maybe they will try and vote you back in office in 2012, but don’t go holding your breath.

Last Day of Work has put out Virtual Villagers – The Tree of Life. The fourth in their series that I fell in love with a long time ago. As I am typing this post, my little villagers are running around trying to clear rubble, build huts, and figure out how to safe the Tree of Life.

The SGM and I are finally fighting the last of the crud that attacked us about … oh … a month ago. Everyone around us has been sick at some level or the other. We’re tired of coughing, blowing our noses, etc. He coughed so hard he threw his back and shoulder out! Gal at work bruised her ribs from coughing. This stuff was hard to get rid of, even with Z Packs of meds. I hope everyone is well and if not, getting better. Go to the doctor – get the meds you need.

Thanks for reading … comment if you like … but have a great day! And weekend.

We made it to another weekend. Obama hasn’t surrendered to the Taliban yet – so all seems to be okay. Although, he appears to be putting our country on the path to surrender to the Chinese soon. The Hollywood Star in Chief is going to make another star appearance on our television screens on Tuesday night. This time as a back drop, West Point, to announce he’s finally made up his mind about how many troops to send into Afghanistan. How long has it been since his hand picked man on the ground asked for reinforcements? Oh and notice that he’s using the military as a tool again?

UPDATED: NY Times reporting “frustration” within military ranks??

Just like Clinton, the military is a thorn in Obama’s side. And even though he claimed on the campaign trail that Afghanistan was the right war, he has done everything he can to avoid making a decision about it. Interesting read coming up!

Democrat Barack Obama said Monday that as president he would send at least two more combat brigades to Afghanistan, where U.S. soldiers face rising violence and endured their deadliest attack in three years on Sunday.

The proposed force increase – about 7,000 troops – is part of Obama’s plan to pull combat troops out of Iraq and focus on the growing threat from a resurgent al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

“As president, I would pursue a new strategy, and begin by providing at least two additional combat brigades to support our effort in Afghanistan,” Obama said in an op-ed published Monday in The New York Times, a day before he plans a speech here on his vision for Iraq and Afghanistan.

“We need more troops, more helicopters, better intelligence-gathering and more nonmilitary assistance to accomplish the mission there,” Obama said.

Obama argued the emphasis on Iraq placed by the Bush administration – and supported by Republican presidential candidate John McCain – stands in the way, reports CBS News correspondent Dean Reynolds

“I would not hold our military, our resources and our foreign policy hostage to a misguided desire to maintain permanent bases in Iraq,” Obama said.

[emphasis mine] – But this was when Obama was on the campaign trail. The date of this article? July 14, 2008 – from CBS News.com Obama: Two More Brigades To Afghanistan Democrat Proposes 7,000 Troop Increase, Saying Effort There Needs More Support. To take up the mantra of the loon-left, with a bit of a twist, Obama Lied – Soldiers are dying!!!!

~ ~

So did you venture out to the stores yesterday (Black Friday)? I sat my backside here in the house. I won’t go near those crazy people for love or money. I did manage to get to the gym though. I will go out today to the grocery store, but since we don’t do the big present stuff, and its just the two of us, going out on Black Friday isn’t necessary.

My sister-in-law started making her own laundry soap, dish soap etc a few months back. I’m not that industrious (scoff), but she did tell me about using vinegar instead of fabric softener in the wash. Suppose to help get any bad smells out. Well I tried it. She’s not going to tell me about doing something without having done it herself. Now you are thinking the same thing I did – I don’t want to smell like a walking salad!! I didn’t try it on our clothes, but on our big heavy towels & mink blankets, as well as the couch covers the dogs lay on; that kind of stuff. I can tell you the articles do not come out smelling like vinegar at all, but they do come out fresher smelling. Instead of the odors being masked by the softener, the vinegar neutralizes them. I don’t care how clean you are, with two dogs in the house, they drag in stuff from the outside and it gets on the couch covers. So try it. I love the way towels and sheets smell & feel coming out of the dryer too! The best part? It’s much cheaper than Downy!

So that’s it for the week. I am trying my best to get back on a blogging schedule, but still am blank about stuff to blog about that is interesting.

So have a great day and week to come.

See you next weekend!

Welcome to the weekend! I actually feel like putting a blog post together (yipppeee)! But don’t let me lay down for a nap – the feeling might go away. I really do need to get my ass in gear and start blogging about something – even if its about my new bra (just kidding). I never really did establish what this blog was suppose to “only” be about, so I guess bras would work uh? (Watching the two guys that read this flee).

This was a particularly sad week for us at my workplace. A well-loved co-worker, 26 years old with two beautiful girls (one not yet a year old), lost her husband to a massive heart attack Sunday morning. He was only 32. Yes, 32. I know you’re heart just stopped. I didn’t learn of that tragedy until Monday morning at the dentist office when another co-worker phoned me. The dentist people knew him and her also so they cried with me. I have asked many times, “God why?” but know there will be no answer soon – if ever – and his hands are always there. They buried him Thursday. I went to the visitation, as funerals ( like most folks ) make me really uncomfortable. I did not “know” him personally, only through his wife. She is a lovely women. We began work on the same day and although we are 30 years apart in age, have always gotten along well. Both families are HUGE and the friends numerous. The walls of the funeral home had to be expanded (they do that) for the crowd that showed for the funeral. Over the open casket they played a slide show of their life together. I remember her engagement, the wedding preparations, the first child, then the second. As I looked into her eyes – I saw the medication given to help her get through this and knew I would have done the same thing. My heart broke when I held her. She is too young to experience such loss. When you talk to God next time, ask him to send Lesley, Ava and Presley comfort and a couple extra angels to get them through this.

We were notified last week at work that our health benefits (insurance) plan is changing. Geez, surprise surprise uh? Not only are we dealing with the attempted take-over of 1/6th of the economy by a fucking socialists agenda, our company’s health insurance premiums went UP! Okay, so we as a company had a 175% loss ratio – but geez Louise! The people who deal with that for the company spread the word out and asked for someone to come to our rescue and we did have one carrier step up to the plate. The plan is a High Deductible Plan with a Health Savings Account. This was something I was going to do anyway, so bonus. BUT – the whole company has to go to it, which made a lot of folks understandably nervous. On Friday we had a meeting with the HR people, who wonderfully explained all the ins and outs of the program. I am amped about this program. Freedom to decide what I pay for medically and a back up for catastrophes. Now I completely understand what Hannity & Rush have been saying. “I” have control over expenses and I can negotiate with my doctor about fees, and approach him about prescribing cheaper medications (if I can take them), to save on cost. As it stands, those with insurance never ask about the cost, but just pay our co-pay and go away. Now we have to be pro-active in our health maintenance and I think it will make us all better consumers and healthier in the end!

So, for years women have been pounded over the head to get base-line mammograms at age 40 (raises hand – I did) and pap smears yearly (whistling and looking away). NOW the people behind all those statements have decided that nah … we don’t have to be that pro-active about this stuff. I mean – you can wait until your 50 now to get your first base-line mammogram, and since cervical cancer spreads so slowly, just don’t worry about those pesky uncomfortable pap-smears until your 21 and then only every other year. Fucking hypocrites!!! Rationing of health-care has started and Obama-care hasn’t even been enacted yet! Oh – did you know that you (you and me) and all other tax-payers will have to pay for this government program for FIVE Years before the benefits even kick in? Like Rush said, its like buying a house and making monthly mortgage payments for five years before you can move in. Bet the lame-stream media didn’t tell you that right?

I the fact that Lindsey Gramhanesty finally found a set and went after Holder on bring an admitted terrorist to NYC for his trial. w00t!! There is hope!

Picked up Sarah’s book “Going Rogue: An American Life” and am thoroughly enjoying it. Of course the lame-stream media is having head-explosions over it with the AP assigning 11 reporters to fact check the book. How transparent in their hate they are and making such fools out of themselves.

Speaking of being transparent — how is that Hope & Change working out for you uh? Did you know there are numerous taxes in this bill (that remember you are paying for for five years with higher taxes before benefits kick in) and they will blow your mind. For example, from Americans for Tax Reform (who has the whole list of more taxes here, just a few are:

Employer Mandate Tax (Page 348/Sec. 1513/$28 bil): If an employer does not offer health coverage, and at least one employee qualifies for a health tax credit, the employer must pay an additional non-deductible tax of $750 for all full-time employees. Applies to all employers with 50 or more employees.
HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike (Page 1998/Sec. 9004/$1.3 bil): Increases additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent. (Go back up to my paragraph on our company going to HSA’s and High Deductible Insurance – this is in part “my” money being put in that account. This also goes in “my” account pre-tax. This is the governments way of making up for the pre-tax contribution to that account. Sure, I can wait until I’m age 65 and take it out then and only pay the taxes on it, but if I need it in an emergency I can take it out earlier.)
FSA Cap (Page 1999/Sec. 9005/$14.6 bil): Imposes cap on FSAs of $2500 (now unlimited).
Tax on Innovator Drug Companies (Page 2010/Sec. 9008/ $22.2 bil): $2.3 billion annual tax on the industry imposed relative to share of sales made that year.
Tax of Medical Device Manufacturers (Page 2020/Sec. 9009/$19.3 bil): $2 billion annual tax on the industry imposed relative to shares of sales made that year. Exempts items retailing for <$100.
Tax on Health Insurers (Page 2026/Sec. 9010/$60.4 bil): $6.7 billion annual tax on the industry imposed relative to health insurance premiums collected that year.

These are just a few of the items out of the many taxes in the bill. Why are they going to tax Drug Companies and Medical Device Manufacturers? They are going to be punished for medical advances to save lives. You know the answer? The less innovations to save lives, people won’t live as long, therefore not having to use the Government Run Health-care program. In other words: Death By Government Taxes.

Have a great weekend!
