I grew up in southern Minnesota.  Living mostly in rural communities and on farms where working was something you just did.  There were crops to weed and bring in; cattle, pigs, chickens, horses, etc to feed and take care of.  Machinery had to be cleaned and maintained properly and grass had to be mowed.

I never thought working for a living was wrong.  My grandmother always told me to earn my way.  Mother said the same thing at times.  I’ve worked at pulling weeds from soybean fields, de-tassling corn, and building grain silos.   When I was got older, I starting working as a bus girl, then waitress at a local restaurant.

Being from a farming family, college was never discussed as an option when I left high school.   I never excelled at anything to even think about a scholarship, so what to do after graduation was limited.  What I did know for sure was living in that part of the country for the rest of my life wasn’t going to happen.  One way or another I was getting out of that hole where you either worked in the factory or pumped out babies as a living.

No thanks – I wanted better for myself.

One of my classmates signed up for the delayed entry program for the United States Army.   She too did not want to be part of the dirt that made up that community.  (Unfortunately, she is back there and part of it now – last I heard).  I followed her lead and signed up.  In November after graduation, I left Minnesota for the southern states of the US.

I have been working at one job  or another since that time.  One year out of my life while married to my first husband I did spend seeing what it was like being a stay at home housewife.   I’m surprised I survived that.  Yucko!

I pay my taxes.

I support local charities.

I buy what I can pay for and save for what I want.

My husband served this country for 23 years.

He pays taxes.

He supports local military charities.

He buys what he can pay for and saves for what he wants.

Our debt is only in our home and one vehicle.

Our credit cards are paid off.

We are of the 53%.

We want no hand out from the government.

We want our freedom to be and do what we want.

We will continue to fight for that freedom.

But its worse actually.  They’ve pulled the race card.

The Congressional Black Caucus is accusing the GOP of setting back black civil rights in this country.

Really — I’m not kidding.

“It’s really especially poignant that this year during Black History Month, the Republican leadership has proposed a budget for fiscal year 2011 that will fall most heavily, mind you, on the backs of the most vulnerable in our society: African Americans, Latinos, and poor, those who have been shut of the American dream,” said Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), who described the cuts as ill-timed and destructive. Source

What is wrong with the cuts Rep Lee? Is it because maybe some of the hand outs people get in this country are going to change? Tell me how in the hell cuts to the Federal Budget will push back civil rights?

“At a time when we should be remembering and uplifting the accomplishments and contributions of African Americans, to the history, culture, civil rights and economy of America, we are literally during this month debating steps that will severely undercut and undermine that legacy,” she [Lee] said.

This women, and the CBC, are on dope. Anyone who believes this have to be high as a frackin’ kite.  Cuts to the Federal Budget do not take away “rights”.

On a side note about Lee, she is behind HR780 that would defund military operations in Afghanistan.

H.R.780 - To provide that funds for operations of the Armed Forces in Afghanistan shall be obligated and expended only for purposes of providing for the safe and orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan of all members of the Armed Forces and Department of Defense contractor personnel who are in Afghanistan.

I wonder if Lee really believes what she was saying, or was she just spouting off the typical Democrat talking points.   There is no way in hell Federal budget cuts would set back Civil Rights in this country for ANYONE.  Its all about wanting to label the Republicans as haters of the black man.

Rep Lee – check your history and see which party in this country fought against civil rights for the black man.

In the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes. Source

What I get from the left getting their panties in a snit about the reading of The Constitution, the founding documents for this great nation, is:

They don’t want to find out where they’ve been wrong.

They do not like the fact it does not say “The Government will control everything while they suck your wallets dry to do so.”

They do not like “We The People”.

The most vile of the left are showing their true colors in blazing brilliance.  Although, their mental strength is really dull through it all.

Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.): Told The Washington Post that Republicans were peddling “propaganda” and that today’s act amounted to a “ritualistic reading.” 

If the left’s reaction to the document this country is to be governed by does not wake you up to what is going on behind the closed doors in Washington – the fundamental change in this country – then please buy a one-way ticket to China.

We like our Constitution and freedoms it provides.

If you make $1,000 a week from your employer and you spend $2,000 a week, YOU have the deficit.   Now that you’ve over spent your paycheck, are you going to go to your employer and DEMAND they give you a raise to cover YOUR spending?

Right … tell me how that works out when you have to go apply for unemployment insurance shortly thereafter.

That is what is going on in Washington and Obama and his ilk are trying the Jedi mind trick on you to believe lowering taxes is increasing the government’s deficit.

Now, the Government is OUR employee and they are over spending.   They came to us and demanded more paycheck and we said NO on November 12th.

… and it looks like the President has decided to call names, kick rocks and blow snot bubbles instead of admitting the government’s checking account is overdrawn because it spent too damn much.

So you liberal hacks that are hyperventilating over this latest compromises ….  get over yourself.

And Mr. President as to your abysmal press conference today – grow a pair ( or ask for them back from Michelle).

I trust he will be fair in his questions and guide his fellow Republicans to a vote for or against. 

When President Barack Obama sends Congress his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court, the Republican leading the critique of his or her qualifications will be Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama, one of the more conservative members on Capitol Hill.

After a few days of negotiations inside the GOP, Sessions’ fellow Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday endorsed naming him as the ranking minority member of the committee, and the full party caucus is scheduled to ratify the decision today.

With the appointment, Sessions shoots from the rank-and-file into a high-profile leadership role just in time for the heated national debate over who should be the next Supreme Court justice, replacing David Souter.  (Source)

We must also thank Sen. Arlen Specter for jumping ship to Sen. Sessions (a true conservative) can lead the way.  The minority party is actually in the power here, as at least one vote from the minority is required to approve a nominee.

We Surround Them was started by Glenn Beck to help his listeners not feel alone amongst the hatred and destruction that is Washington DC, the Democratic Party and Hitler Light – Obama.

On March 13, Glenn Beck started out his show not holding back the emotions he was feeling.  These were the same feelings I have had since November 4, 2008.   That I was alone.

For an hour Glenn talked to many people, those in the studio audience, Chuck Norris with his friends and family and soldiers.  He spoke of the 9-12 Project.   Remember how you felt on 9/11 as we watched in horror as terrorists attacked this country?  Yeah?  And then we came together as a nation, as one. Well the 9-12 Project is a reminder of those feelings and how the principles of this country are now under attacked.

You don’t have to agree with all the 9 Principles or 12 Values, but even if you agree to only a few – bottom line is: We Want Our Country Back.

I personally believe this country has been under attack for a long time from the inside.  The radical left who wished for, and prayed for, the death of President Bush, and his failure.

They want all the moral fibers this country was original based on washed away and their Sodom and Gomorrah values put into place.

What are the 9 Principles?

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.
3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.
8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.
9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Like Glenn said, you don’t have to believe all the above, just a few.  But I feel that if you believe in half the above, you can’t be a liberal, socialist democrat.   Maybe you need to re-evaluate your beliefs if you agree to even half the above uh?

RNC Chair Micheal Steele and Rush Limbaugh have caught the media attention the last couple days.  Steele showing some envy and being snarky about who Rush is to the Republicans and/or Conservatives in this country and Rush firing back.

What Steele was thinking going on CNN (the Clinton/Communist News Network) and lashing out at Rush only he knows.  [Video] But it caused an uproar in the left media that gave them all thrills up their legs.

At first Rush wasn’t going to address it.

RUSH: I was not going to talk about Michael Steele. I have had e-mails from the Drive-By Media. I have had interview requests to be on television shows to talk about Michael Steele and what he said about my speech Saturday night. He was on CNN and I was going to ignore it, but so many of you are e-mailing me asking me to respond to this that I have changed my mind and I’m going to do so. Here is what has prompted all of the irritation at Michael Steele. He was on the D. L. Hughley show on CNN Saturday night, and the other voice you’ll hear is the other guest, the rapper Chuck D. They had this exchange about me.

Then he let loose. 

I’m glad he lashed back.  We don’t need division in the party right now, between the people or the voices that help get our message out.

Steele has evidently reached out to Rush and apologized.  What the two men talked about is between them and I say leave it there.

Its over.  Let us on the right move forward.  We are rebuilding a party and there are going to bumps in the road.

We have stuck together since the late 1950′s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right, so let’s just end it on friendly terms. We can smile; slate it up to irreconcilable differences, and go on our own ways.

Here is a model dissolution agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement.

After that it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don’t like re distributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we’ll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O’Donnell (you are however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move them).

We’ll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies, and illegal aliens. We’ll keep the hot Alaskan Hockey Moms, greedy CEO’s, and Rednecks. We’ll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.

You can make nice with Iran, Palestine , and France, and we’ll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or way of life are under assault, we’ll provide them job security.

We’ll keep our Judeo-Christian Values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClain. You can have the U.N. But we will no longer be paying the bill. We’ll keep the SUV’s, pickup trucks, and over-sized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru Station Wagon you can find.

You can give everyone health-care, if you can find any practicing Doctors (that is practicing, Howard Dean) who will follow you to your turf.

We’ll continue to believe health-care is a luxury and not a right.

We’ll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I’m sure you’ll be happy to substitute Imagine, I’d Like to Teach The World To Sing, Kum Ba Ya, or We Are the World.

We’ll practice trickle down economics, and you can give trickle up poverty its best shot.

Since it often so offends you we’ll keep our History, our Name, and our Flag.
