For years now we have only heard how bad that Patriot Act is/was when implemented. Liberals bemoaned “privacy” issues as the main reason for their dislike. A complaint commonly used when anything a Republican Administration does.

There is no valid reason they can spin for the below. Monitoring blogs, websites, Twitter, Facebook, etc in the name of security bleeds into the same complaints the liberals have about the Patriot Act.

Privacy Group Sues DHS Over Social Media Monitoring Program
A privacy advocacy group is suing the Department of Homeland Security for information about an emerging program designed to monitor social media activity. The Electronic Privacy Information Center, claiming the “legal authority for the DHS program remains unclear,” went to federal court in Washington, D.C., this past week to try and compel the department to turn over documents on the initiative.

I would remind those liberals who try to justify away the above that their President has renewed the Patriot Act while in office, as recently as May 2011.

It really is so funny this thing we call politics. If it wasn’t for politics, I doubt we’d have the profession of the psychiatrist. You really have to have your head examined to put yourself out there in politics: whether running for local, state, or federal office.

Seriously. You have to be crazy to put up with the harassment and bullshit.

Especially if you are a Republican …

Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin was elected to that state’s highest office by the people. He ran on a platform of cutting the state budget and turning around the dismal state.

So the first thing he wants to do is cut the legs of the unions out from under them. (Yup, I agree with Obama on something) Pure and simple, the unions are killing the states with demand after demand and producing nothing.

Example: If the teacher unions were for “the kids“, they wouldn’t have called out sick for the last three days, forcing the schools to close. This simply proves to the people on the outside that unions are NOT for the kids, but for themselves and how much they can suck the tax payer dry for.

Those of us who work in the private sector have to contribute to a portion of our health insurance premium and depending on the type of pension offered, can contribute a portion to that too. That’s how its been since I started working eons ago. I’ve always contributed to a portion of the premium, if not all in some cases, and had no problem with it.

Tell me why I should pay a portion and some lazy union thug forces me to pay for his too? They are wanting to spread the wealth, but its ass backwards really. Since unions tend to make more money than the private sector, they are robbing the poor to pay for the rich. It’s that bottom up thing the liberals seem to think works.

Unions need to be done away with. The unions early beginnings helped make for better working conditions and benefits, so we really have no use for them any more. They just want to exploit “the worker” to line their pockets with tax payer money.

By the way, I am not a “worker” (that’s an old style soviet title used by the Nazi’s). I am a free American who is employed by a company that believes in what I have to offer to them. I am paid very well for what I do, including benefits. Our company does not abuse us in any way shape or form and if we have a grievance, we have avenues to walk them through. We have no need for a union because our boss and board treat us fairly – as do 99.99% of the companies in this country.

I hope Governor Walker succeeds and the unions start losing their power all over this country. I stand with Wisconsin.

[Edited - I was thinking of two posts at once and got the titles mixed up - Jo ]

… other than the people in his district that keep returning him to power must have the best drugs street cred can buy.

How else does he keep getting re-elected, even with the cloud of wrong doing floating around him like a Peanut’s cartoon?

From the New York Times:
Stephen Crowley/The New York Times

The House ethics committee ruled on Monday that there was evidence to support 13 counts of misconduct by Representative Charles B. Rangel, and began considering whether to formally convict and recommend punishment against him.

The ruling came after a dramatic and puzzling appearance by Mr. Rangel, 80, in which he protested that he could no longer afford to pay his lawyers, and indignantly walked out of the proceedings, calling them unfair.

Committee members were unmoved. Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren, Democrat of California, noted dryly that Mr. Rangel, a Harlem Democrat, was responsible for paying his lawyers and that he had been advised by the committee beginning in 2008 to form a legal defense fund to do so.

This confused me too. Rangel has known he was going before the ethics committee for some time now. I was hearing about this temper tantrum via Fox on XM and the people I follow on Twitter.

The only reason Rangel pulled this stunt was to try and get sympathy from somewhere. He knows his time is limited. The Republicans have taken the House and they have the power finally to shut down Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and further investigate the wrong doings by the likes of Rangle and his ilk that kept F&F from being stopped when GW Bush was in office.

There simply is no excuse for Charlie Rangel to pull the stunt he did yesterday. You can’t tell me there isn’t one liberal attorney out there who wouldn’t have signed on to Frank’s defense team. I don’t buy it Charlie — you are a disgrace to the Congress, Your District, and the American People.

Stalker moves in next to Gov Palin's family.

If it isn’t enough that stupid left-wing idiots have gone after Gov Sarah Palin, and her family, ad nauseum, now she has one of her haters stalking her.

Sarah Palin has taken to her Facebook page to complain about her new neighbor — a writer penning a book about her.

Author Joe McGinniss has taken up residence in a house next to Palin’s lakeside home in Wasilla.
[...]
“Yes, that Joe McGinniss. Here he is about 15 feet away on the neighbor’s rented deck overlooking my children’s play area and my kitchen window,” Palin posted on Facebook late Monday, hours after returning from a trip to the Lower 48 and learning of McGinniss’ presence.

“We’re sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he’s penning. Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?” she wrote.

Read more: Author writing about Palin moves next door to her

Mrs. Palin was on the Glenn Beck Show this morning and Sean Hannity’s radio show this afternoon. She was cheerful when talking about it, even chuckling about having to barter with contractors to help them build a 14′ fence between the stalker and their home.

The company that Stalker McGinniss is working for is Random House, Inc. Many people have said they will be boycotting Random House until this stops. I agree with their freedom to do so.

Even though the creep factor here is at a level behind good manners – I suggest we just sit back and watch as this man learns to take care of himself in the wilds of Alaska.

I am sure there will be several people in the city of Wasilla who will run to him and dish the dirt on Gov Palin and her family, but I suspect there will be a lot more turning a blind eye to the man’s questions and some down right snubbing him in pubic. A warm welcome I don’t see coming.

Oh to it be the middle of an Alaska, dark, winter when he’d ventured to the area …. Having grown up in Southern Minnesota, winters are no joke when mother nature has her ways.

So Mr. McGinniss, from you comfy home in Massachusetts - enjoy that which Alaska gives you.

Karma is a bitch and your creep factor of x10 brings it around pretty quickly.

If I was Gov Palin, I’d spend as much time as possible in the lower 48 and leave Mr. McGinniss to stare at your windows.

BOSTON (Reuters) – U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy, a towering figure in the Democratic Party who took the helm of one of America’s most fabled political families after two older brothers were assassinated, died at age 77, his family said.

“Edward M.
One of the most influential and longest-serving senators in U.S. history — a liberal standard-bearer who was also known as a consummate congressional dealmaker — Kennedy had been battling brain cancer, which was diagnosed in May 2008.

There has to be a special psychiatric hospital somewhere we can put stupid politicians. I hear Gitmo will be vacated soon, maybe we can move a few of the real classy idiots in.

A reminder … Sen. John Edwards in 2004 while running with Sen. John Kerry for VPOTUS made this stupid statement:

“If we do the work that we can do in this country, the work that we will do when John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going to walk, get up out of that wheelchair and walk again.” (source)

Now D-R-D Arlen Specter has caught the same mouth fungus as Edwards. Jack Kemp hadn’t even gotten through the pearlie gates before this was said:

“If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine.” (source)

This is just a new kind of stupid that makes you just shake your head and wonder when the men with the little white coats are going to show up and relieve us of our misery.

I am a rightwing extremist. #tcot

Or as my blogging buddy Redoubt said, “Your Government on Steroids”.

In a democracy, the opposition is not only tolerated as constitutional, but must be maintained because it is indispensable. – Walter Lippmann

Evidently the Obama administration is worried about conservative thinking people in this country who are not too happy with the government. They fear because of this worry, they may gather together and become extreme.

The Washington Times filed a story about a 9-page document distributed to law enforcement about these radical, extremist groups, specifically tagged as “right wing”. Conservatives have been called right-wing since Hillary’s conspiracy theories when Bill was fighting against charges of lying and doing Monica.

The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America’s first black president* and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

A footnote attached to the report by the Homeland Security Office of Intelligence and Analysis defines “rightwing extremism in the United States” as including not just racist or hate groups, but also groups that reject federal authority in favor of state or local authority.

“It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single-issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration,” the warning says.

*The election of the country’s first half-black/half-white president doesn’t have a damn thing to do with why us “right-wing extremists” are pissed off at our government spending the next three generations’ paychecks. That is typical liberal racism screaming when they want to justify their hate toward those that disagree with them.

When I first heard about this report, my blood started to slowly simmer. Then when I read more on it, the simmer turned to a rolling boil.

Via Michelle Malkin:

Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.

Michelle said her bullshit detector was going off all day while she tracked this story down. I know the feeling. People she talked to said it has been in the works for a year, but like Michelle, I am calling Bullshit on this one. Obama’s puppet masters have had a lot of the shit he’s been rolling out planned. There is no way in hell this bastard could come up with half the crap that he’s been spouting since his election.

You can download the document in .pdf format from Michelle’s site. I’ve already put it to my harddrive and am going to read through it more thoroughly.

Big Dog sums up a lot of how I’m feeling too.

Remember:

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.

Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out for me.
~ Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984)

I confess to be a Rightwing Extremist.

Tea Party Goers are Riff Raff?

Yesterday I flipped the XM over at 4 pm ET to listen to Neil Cavuto because Rush was going to be on talking about the over taxation of the rich in New York City, and why he is leaving for good.

Before Rush came on, Neil had some twit of a talk show host (who was clearly liberal), talking about the tea party’s coming up next week. Of course, this female twit bashed the tea party protesters, wanting to know where they were when Pres. Bush had the first bail out, and then called them “riff raff”. Unfortunately, I have been unable, at this time, to find the video of this conversation.

What really came through dripping on this women’s words was hate. I couldn’t tell if the hate was solely directed at tea party participants, or the right as a whole, but it was there.

I have always known the “progressives” or money hungry liberals have had a disdain for those on the right, but this was beyond my imagination.

What happened in their upbringing that lead them to believe that total control of their lives must be turned over to the government to the point they have learned to hate those that oppose that way of life?

How afraid is the left in regard to the tea parties? They are planning an infiltration. Yup, the people in this country who are tired of our representatives not listening to us when we say no more taxes, no more spending, and are going to gather and show our dislike of these actions are going to be infiltrated by those on the left who want bigger government, more government intervention, and more taxes on the evil rich. I think its being done out of hate.

How do these people get such a foundation of hate? Is it taught from an early age? Did their parents take them out in the back yard and show them how to hate all that is God’s creation? Its unclear where all this stems from. They are so blinded by this hate they cannot think forward far enough in the future to see how the actions of congress today will effect them and their families. They don’t care. They want like a two year old in a candy store.

I’ve always known the left hates, but to hear it dripping from this twit’s mouth was an electric shock to my system.

The left’s hate is equal to, if not more, than the hatred the terrorists have for this country. The left are no more than a bunch of American terrorists without the bombs.

They yell and scream every election year about race. They are the first to use the race card and the loudest to “defend” the races when it serves their purpose, ie: votes.

Ed from Captain’s Quarters wrote this in 2005, but it is still true today.

… the leadership of the Democrats as they truly are — a hate-based faith system that takes any means necessary to win elections. Cheating, violence, smears, and now racism are all acceptable as long as Republicans are the targets. If the Republicans happen to be members of minority communities, so much the better.

What was he talking about?

How the dimwits went after Michael Steele when he was running for the US Senate out of Maryland.

Flip on over and read Michael Steele New RNC Chairman, Complete With Moonbattery from Stop the ACLU.

The enlightened need a boot up their ass.

SHERMAN FREDERICK: The ugly side of the inauguration

Sherman Frederick notes in his article titled, The ugly side of the inauguration (Obamamania’s mean streak):

But let’s also not ignore the obvious. There is a growing faction of the American left that seeks revenge more than righteousness.

He so nails the ugly side of the left of the Democratic party. Short read, to the point.
