Prohibition was Overturned: Obama Care can be too.

Monday, 22 March 2010, 5:31

I went to bed last night with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes.   Refusing to watch it on television, but getting updates via Twitter & Facebook, I found out what most of you already know:  Obama Care passed after Bart Stupak (D-MI) bent over for Obama and caved.

Stupak announced just Friday on his website that three airports in his northern Michigan district have received grants totaling $726,409 for airport maintenance and improvements from the Obama Administration. via: Political Lore.com

So … here we are waking up in the morning with a serious hang-over about what has been going on in Washington.

We the people were NOT listened too.  But then we tried to warn you about Obama and his ilk.   But you wouldn’t listen.  You get what you deserve.

So can it be overturned?  Repealed?  Stopped?

Yes.  I believe it can be.  History says that stupidity in Government can be fixed.  Maybe there will still be a scar, but it can be repaired.

Prohibition was.

Prohibition was a period of nearly fourteen years of U.S. history in which the manufacture, sale, and transportation of liquor was made illegal. It led to the first and only time an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was repealed. via 20th Century History

Considering prohibition came about by an amendment to the Constitution (the 18th) and in 1933 the 21st Amendment was ratified repealing the 18th Amendment, I believe in my heart this mess that was passed in the House last night can be overturned.

It will take a Republican Congress and President though.

This country suffered through Prohibition for 14 years.   We may have to suffer for years through Obama Care before all the really bad stuff is overturned and thrown in the trash.

Buck up Americans.  Elections have consequences and we are now paying them.   No, I’m sure a lot of you reading this didn’t vote for Obama, but if you thought McCain would be any better – well you probably knew that too.

No, we will regroup, catch our breath and then pick up our virtual arms and begin the fight to win our country back.

We Will Prevail.

If 2/3 of the states get together they can call for a convention. Then 3/4 of the states vote to overturn it. So with 38 states threatening lawsuits we only need 2 more states to overturn this.

Jo, I was weeping on and off all day, I still get teary eyed. Why are people so stupid? Why do they think they have to control every aspect of other people’s lives? Why do they insist on throwing away their freedoms?

    Why?
