This has been one heckva week around these parts.  Starting on Monday.

I have the worst time with my teeth.  Many years of work, extractions, root-canals, you name it, I’ve had it done.  Last year I had the top eight front teeth all capped and got a partial finally.  After years of no back teeth it was wonderful.  Earlier this year, I lost one of those teeth, but the extraction went well and the tooth was replaced with a bridge.  Well, as my teeth go, another one bit the dust last week.  This time the extraction wasn’t as easy.   The root had a hook on it and it was butted up against the nasal cavity.  And it having had a root canal prior, the tooth was very brittle and came off in pieces.  The last piece, the root, wouldn’t cooperate one bit.  It would come up and when he went to grab it, it would slide back down.  Like when you have a splinter and are trying to get it out and it keeps going back into your skin.  After an hour and a half, several shots of Novocaine, it finally came out.  He had to put a stitch in it to close it up.  When I got home after a trip to the pharmacy for meds, I looked like I’d been hit by a truck.  It was really swollen up to my eye.  This one knocked me for a loop that’s for sure.  Some people at work looked at me cross-eyed and made comments about my dentist not being so good; but this man has been amazing and this wasn’t his fault.  But the new partial addition has been done and today the pain is minimal and manageable as it heals.

So Eric Holder and his Boss Obama are going to bring admitted terrorists to New York City and provide them the same rights as American Citizens in a court of law?  Now isn’t that special?  How is that Hope & Change working for you now?  This is a slap in the face of all those who lost loved ones on 9/11 – and to the country.

Are you ready for Pelosi/Reid/Obama Healthcare?  I’m not and refuse to buy into their take over of the medical system in this country and MY LIFE!!!  I will go to jail before I succumb to their take over.  If you people think this is going to be the most wonderful thing to happen to our country since sliced bread – you obviously are taking illegal drugs.  The last thing I want is some ass-wipe in Washington DC telling my doctor (who went to school) that he is not treating me “according to the government’s recommended guidelines”.

Picked up a couple books this week to dig into:  J.D. Robb’s “Kindred in Death” and Richard Castle’s “Heat Wave“.   Tuesday I will be getting Former Gov. Sarah Palin’s book, “Going Rogue.”   What are you reading?
