WeekEND Wrap v20

Saturday, 23 May 2009, 6:43

I had a good chuckle this week when the man-child Dear Leader had to run to a teleprompter near him and try and beat VP Cheney in an ethics contest.   He failed miserably.  I watched enough of it to realize this man was mad as hell at something.  Who knows what it was.  People who are as arrogant as Barack Obama and his wife get mad at the least little thing they believe takes away from their perceived brilliance.  Trust me on this folks, he made an ass out of himself pure and simple.  And standing in front of the constitution?  Bawaaaaa .. what a joke.  You don’t fool me Dear Leader — that constitution means diddly squat to you and your ilk.

“To close it? To close it not?”

HT: Wake up America

Yeah GITMO, that little bitty prison in Cuba where terrorists are treated better than their mothers ever did … just what does Obama’s “order to close” really mean?

…Obama’s order “closing” Gitmo actually left it open for a year, ostensibly until new arrangements could be made for the 240 or so inmates still detained there—though Obama admitted privately it might have to stay open longer than that. Later, Attorney General Eric Holder announced that, far from being “the Bermuda Triangle of human rights” that Human Rights Watch’s Wendy Patten had dubbed it, Gitmo was in full compliance with the humane-treatment provisions of the Geneva Convention. Meanwhile, the military commissions, which Human Rights Watch and others groups had denounced as a travesty of justice, were only being suspended for 120 days, pending a review—and, indeed, following that review, will be reinstated almost exactly as they were before.

Must Read: Obama’s Deeds Vindicate Bush By Charles Krauthammer, “Of course, Obama will never admit in word what he’s doing in deed. As in his rhetorically brilliant national-security speech on Thursday claiming to have undone Bush’s moral travesties, the military commissions flip-flop is accompanied by the usual Obama three-step: (a) excoriate the Bush policy, (b) ostentatiously unveil cosmetic changes, (c) adopt the Bush policy.

The man-child president and his ilk are playing ring around the rosy with the country.  Let’s hope it doesn’t all fall down before we can get in an adult in charge in 2012.

Cassie is starting to come along a bit more. She’s put on some weight and doesn’t look like she’s close to death anymore.  The SGM is making her and Roscoe spend more and more time together outside of confinement.   He took them walking together last night. Just a short walk and over to meet the neighbors.  Found out Roscoe has worse manners than Cassie does!  Gotta get to work on that.   June 4th she goes back for her last dose of meds for the heart-worms that may be left in her in bloodstream.  Then back a week later for the test.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
