This N’ That
Good Wednesday Morning!
Before you ask, no I did not watch the COC give his doom & gloom SOTU address. From the reaction of the people I follow on Twitter that did – it was awful. But of course the Democrats loved it. Someone made the comment they were waiting for Nancy, Harry & Barry to start high-fiving and belly-bumping each other. (Remember they won.)
Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal gave the Republican Response. Hmmm, isn’t he a milestone to? Like, the first Indian-American Governor. You wouldn’t know that if you watch Keith Overbite (ht Mark Levin), but while we are all suppose to be awash in the glory of a half-black/half-white man in the Whitehouse, the accomplishments of Gov. Jindal are ignored. Pssst – he’s a Republican and they are evil! (wink wink)
Say, have you found the Worthington Wire yet? You haven’t? Tsk tsk. Well click on the button and enjoy. Its one of the best news agitators out there, with stuff for everyone.
Karen over at Pondering Penguin wraps up her thoughts on the POTUS speech from last night.
Slumdog children to be rehoused – Think the film makers would have at least given out homes as payment before the local government had to step in.
Things are afoot – Two Democrat Governors don’t want any stimulus funds either.
Have a great day!

Re: The Slumdog Kids
Actually, the film-makers have given both families enough money for a house each, it’s just buried towards the bottom of the article (I also heard it from a different source previous to the Oscars)
“Funds have been set up to pay for their education and they have been enrolled in school for the first time.
The film-makers also promised to provide bricks and mortar housing for the two families before authorities stepped in with their offer.
Critics called the housing gift a political move ahead of a general election, Indian media reported. ”
Gee, what a shock, a politically inspired move. -rolls eyes-
They are also now in talks to make a musical out of the film with all proceeds going to slum renovations.

As for Mr. Obama’s speech…
I thought it was written and delivered for public consumption. It said what was presumed, by the Dems, to be those things that the public wanted to hear.
He is undoubtedly a gifted orator and could probably sell an ice box to an Eskimo. But he’s on the clock now… everyone is watching and waiting. If all he has to deliver is a refrigerator, then it’s gonna be a long, cold four years for him and us.

I’ve since learned that, but thank you for commenting! Still, maybe they could have done all that without any media knowing
Just a thought. Charity should be done in the dark, because to do in the flash of the media lights takes away its sincerity.
