We made it.  Maybe a bit battered and bruised and down in the mouth – but the weekend has finally arrived.  Time to refresh, plan and rest. 

A lot of really bad things happened to this country this week. 

First was the horrible plane crash in New York.  President Obama (and family) gave their condolences to the family members and praised the rescue workers.   To date, I have yet to find any “official statement” he made in regard to the KY, AR, & MI snow storms that killed almost 30 people and kept people in the dark and cold for WEEKS!   I also cannot find any where his sympathies for the deaths from the tornado in OK.   What is the difference between the three events?  Color of voters?  Well, that is a bit out there don’t you think, so lets nix that one until later.  How about party of voters?  Now we may have something here.  See, everyone knows New York is a liberal hypo-crat state.  KY, AR, MI and OK went red in the 2008 elections.  Them damn bitter clingers! Clearly, Dear Leader doesn’t mind when non-worshippers die.

The second horrible event was the move toward total socialism in this country by the Stimulus, Spendulis, Porkulis (Whatever) that went through the house and senate like shit through a goose.  Do you think anyone had time to read it?  Not hardly.  We must remember that hypo-crats lie out of one side of their mouth and then the other.  The 48 hours was agreed on by majority vote.   But Jeff @ Redstate said it best:

Leave aside, for a moment, the fact that the House — including Hoyer himself — unanimously voted in favor of a 48-hour review period for the porkulus before action was taken on it.  Is one night really enough time to read for the first time and consider a bill that would borrow and spend an amount of money that, if it were GDP, would make it the fifteenth largest economy in the world?

Our country is spiraling down into a pit that is very dark and could take a long time to recover from. It started with the Bush Administration demanding a huge amount of bail out money, with no strings attached, to prop up the banks and the hypo-crats ran with it.  THEY will never take responsibility for what happens now, they will blame Bush for it.  Hypo-crats never take responsibility for their own lies or actions.

Now you know why I believe in term limits for congress.

BUT – here is my hope.  We all know that government’s middle name is RED TAPE.  Ever work in the military and try to get something done fast? Yup, now you see where I’m going.   I even heard bits and pieces won’t even start to work until around 2010, 2012, or 2014.  So there is still time to get this monster off the railroad tracks to hell and stop it.   See, we have to stop this before our country does go into another depression.  Fears already have started to show in the DOW.   On the announcement that it had passed the House, the DOW just said “fuck it” and started going down. 

People – stop and think – if this porkulus bill was suppose to stop the bleeding, then why is the DOW reacting that way?  Because the people in the industry who make a living in the financial world have been saying NO to this type of stuff since Paulson ran into the Congress screaming the sky was falling.
