Home Sick

by Jo | October 15th, 2008

The one thing about being a diabetic that really, really sucks is that when we’re sick, we can’t just hide under the covers all day.

We still have to get up and test our sugar.

We then have to find something to eat for breakfast to take our first dose of daily medicine with, because sans food, it makes you sick.

An hour later, feeling god awful, you can crawl back in bad and cover up your head.

For me, I don’t have to move again until supper time, where it starts all over: Test, eat, meds, etc.

So being sick sucks even worse when you are a diabetic.

Now, off to the head under covers part.

  4. Thank you all! I didn’t post it to suck up for get wells, but how frustrating it is to be sick on top of something else, but I’ll take ‘em.
