Roscoe has to have the sharpest toenails on the planet. You can use these buggers to slice a roast with. Because of these knives on paws, my arms are full of scars from the wounds. I normally didn’t have a problem with scaring before becoming a diabetic, but now no matter how well I take care of them, I get scars.
I don’t want to have to wear long sleeves all the time, even if winter is coming upon us. I have looked at many products that claim to reduce scars, old and new, but they all say the same thing.
So do I buy them all and hope as my hard earned money goes down the drain or do I ask?
I’m asking.
Have you tried any of the over the counter medications, over the tv treatments, a doctor’s prescribed medicine or an old wives remedy that works?
Let me know in comments. Even the smallest scratch seems to scar.
Thanks bunches!

Vitamin E pills. Pop them open, squeeze the liquid on the scar and rub it in. I did this on a severe burn I got on my leg a few years back and you can barely see it now. (Which makes me somewhat sad because it looked like a dolphin leaping out of the water… hated the burn, but at least it was in a cool shape
)

Can you tell me how long it took? I know it won’t happen over night okay, but …

Neosporin does work on small cuts and reduces the amount of scarring. Vitamin E is supposed to help, but I haven’t tried it.

Well, this won’t help the existing scars, but to prevent new ones — Peticure. Seriously, I got the cheap, small version at Walgreen’s, and they make bigger ones for bigger dogs, but it truly works. We’ve done the positive reinforcement thing for the dremel and for clippers, but it wasn’t successful but it was for the peticure.
The beagle girls have much smoother nails now. If I could just do something about Macy’s rough pads now.
