Beautiful Alaska

In honor of our VP pick, a shot of Beautiful Alaska I found on Flickr.

Hurricanes appear to be the rule this week.  One down, three to go.  Hubby’s heading into Hanna land tomorrow, but hopefully she’ll have moved through North Carolina and off to New York.   Ike is the one I’m a bit nervous about, because they have no clue which way he’s going to go.

I have made some tweaks to the theme.  One thing to note is when commenting here for the first time (and I love first time commenter’s) your comment will be held for moderation.   This is the easiest way for me to stop spam with Akismet.   Since my Blackberry is pretty much with me 24/7 - I can read and approve your comment fairly quickly.  Please do not do this 10 minutes after you posted your comments.  It is necessary to have a comment policy and it can be read here.

I have been dealing with an allergic reaction, again, to the 4th High Blood Pressure Medication I’ve been given.  This morning I’m going back to all doses and meds that I was taking before starting the HBP meds.   I am not going to take any of HBP meds and monitor my BP.   If necessary I will take it as a last resort, but I’m sick of being SICK!   Had to stay home again yesterday from work.  Slept all afternoon, went and got hubby’s Jeep from the dealership, ate supper and then by 9 pm was knocked out again.  Sometimes your body just goes on overdose.   No supplements either - just prescribed medications at prescribed doses (minus the HBP mds) and then I will slowly add the supplements back.

I am really distressed at all the vile hate that is coming from women against Sarah Palin.  How sad they preach ”do as I say, but no as I do.”  How many woman, mothers, do we all know that have family at home and work hard to help support them and their family’s are doing fine? (raises hand)   And didn’t Grand Nan Pelosi drag all her children and grandchildren out to show off when she became speaker?  How two-faced these liberal women are.  Let’s Pray God will soften their hearts (that should piss ‘em off real good).

Have you tossed out your US Weekly magazines and cancelled your subscription yet?  I never had a script, but I will never purchase again.   In fact, I think when I see it in the stores, I’m going to turn it over!

So what are your plans for the weekend?  Like I noted above, hubby is traveling on Sunday and I am going to try and get some stuff done I haven’t been able to do because I’ve been under the weather.   Those of you in the path of hurricanes - please heed any evacuation orders and be safe!

  1. Sarah Palin and Joe Biden: Worlds Apart - …When it comes to guns, the two prospective vice-presidents are as far apart as the states from which they hail.
  2. Hot Air » A picture refutes a thousand nutcase conspiracies- I’d like to share a picture of Governor Sarah Palin’s lovely young family, a photo that some may have already seen in connection to a despicable Internet smear against the Palins.
  3. Community Obama Organized- Saracuda Palin, the next Vice President of the United States, excoriated Barack Obama for his so called experience as a community organizer. I know that Obama did not like this because he sent me an email WHINING that Palin mocked his time as a community organizer and then he asked me for money.
  4. The cartoon that says it all…. - Just go see
  5. Obama Says Right to Life Coalition Is Lying About His Record  - This was a horrible mistake. The Messiah called the Right to Life Coalition liars– even though their allegations that Obama did not support born-alive legislation are well documented. The NRLC even found an Associated Press article to back them up.

Please add your own favorite links in comments (I really do comments!).

Have a great day!

  1. Beautiful pic of Alaska. The wildlife scares me, like grizzlies, etc. It’s a magical place, though.
