P.S. I don't care that she didn't address the economy or health care for two reasons.

For one, health care is an extremely difficult issue to "solve" and there are no easy answers to the problem. I don't think any candidate can just give some solution or fix to it, and I do not think universal health care is a good idea.

Also, I do not agree that the economy is as bad as the media makes it out to be (at least, it is not bad compared to many other countries). I know that people are struggling, but some of that is because people have dug their own holes and then sunk in them. They live on debt buying cars, houses, and stuff trying to "keep up with the Jones'" and then, after they recklessly spend all their money and have loads of debt, that is when the economy suddenly seems bad. People want to blame government for things that are there own doing.

Now, I know there are others who this isn't the case, and I agree that gas prices and food and other things are high, but we, Americans, still have it FAR better than many other countries and sometimes I think we are just very ungrateful, unappreciative and also greedy and spoiled and we don't know how to make do with little... we just want, want, want and so we complain when prices go up.

It's also very hard, though, to lose a job or home, but I don't think these things are all government's fault, and I also think that America is still a pretty darn well-off place economically.

Personally, I am far more concerned about terrorism and foreign policy, and McCain is far more experienced with those issues. I feel much safer with him as a leader than Obama who reminds me of Neville Chamberlain with Hitler (he tried to be "nice" and talk things out and Hitler called him a "worm" behind his back and then did all he did).

I totally hear you!! As a 30 something woman, I too have found my hero in Sarah. What a woman! Actually, after hearing McCain's speech and realzing what he's been through and the choices he made while a POW, I don't agree with some of his soft views, but he really is also a hero. And he was so humble and appreciative. He focused so much on others, not himself, and I also admire his choice of Sarah.... it shows strength and humility on his part because he chose a woman, an unknown, and someone who he knew would eclipse him.

But as for Sarah, she is so awesome and I haven't been able to stop thinking about her and googling her name all week! She's just so inspiring and she amazes me with all she has accomplished and how unpretentious and humble and yet fearless she is. I can't believe that she sold the jet and got rid of the cook. That alone tells you what kind of person she is. She has a beautiful family, and she is smart, sharp, and so hard-working. She doesn't just talk, she gets things done.

I am glad she addressed Obama too. Same thing with Guilianni and Fred Thompson and Lieberman (I missed Huckabee and Romney). As they say, "the truth hurts," but it really is the truth and it needed to be said. Too many people are blinded by Obama's celebrity appeal. Guilianni pointed out how Obama has led "nothing, nada, zero." People are just following his "star"... his blackness, his charisma, his promises. I heard his speech too, and while it was charismatic, I cringed at how he promised all these things and I thought, "Where on earth is the money going to come from?!" And then I thought that if he won, it wouldn't take long before many of his supporters would turn on him in anger because there is no way he can fulfill some of those promises he made. People want him to be their god.

Well, anyways, I just love Sarah, and I've never seen such anger from Democrats before. I mean, they are so mad that they are basically just name-calling, insulting, and trying to smear her. Their faces are red, their fists are shaking, and they feel out of control and don't know what to do about the threat Sarah poses to the election. And there she is, with grace and dignity and strenth, addressing it with humor and poise and rising above it. It's because she is focused, passionate, and purposeful. That's why I admmire her so much.

From a former lukewarm-McCain-supporter-not-sure-if-I'd-vote-at-all-but-now-voting-wholeheartedly-for-Palin/McCain,

Good morning; I woke up this morning to your answer. When I submitted my comment last night it came back to me(awaiting moderation), I assumed it would not be posted until I moderated its content. I wasn't about to do that, hence my second comment. have a nice day Ron Tyson

Sean said "like Kristin said, it’s annoying when people shove their morals down others’ throats."

Ah, Sean, NOW started out by preaching freedom for women, get out of the house, go to work, break that glass ceiling.

Now that we have a women that is doing just that - but is a republican - oh wait .. put on the brakes! We didn't mean republican women, just liberal women.

Its a 2 edged sword. Nancy Pelosi had 5 children during her move up the ladder in the Senate .. where was the outrage then for her not staying home?

it seems like all of the liberals are stating what a big mistake mccain made choosing palin. palin will undoubtably be a huge plus for mccain unless she has a enormous skeleton in her colset. ie. sexual relations in her office with an intern half her age, making $100,000 in the cattle futures in less than a week, belonging to a church where the pastor preaches of hate toward other races, has close relations with a known terrorist. the longer it goes the less likly there is anything haunting in her past. they have been digging for over a week and all the have is the daughters pregnacy and the ex brother in law. which both will prove to be non issues.

I'm a Sarah Palin fan. Can't actually show my support by voting, since I'm not in the US! But she's certainly made a splash. Everyone's talking about her here in Australia.

The liberal media are going to keep trying to paint her as a hypocrite and a dinosaur, as well as out of her depth. But all these accusations are false. And the people know it. The slimier they get in their attacks, the more respect she will gain from voters.

It's still a neck and neck race. But choosing Palin was a brilliant move. Could just win it for the Republicans, I reckon.

I'm going for Mrs.P and (BIG) John, she got my vote at the end of the finest speech I have ever heard in my 69 years of life. I'm sick of the big spending and do nothing demo-craps nancy (sit on her hands) policy and dum dum reid from nevada.I think Mrs. Palin will go to Washington d.c. and kick the libs butt big time.If it works and they start to hurt Mrs.P in any way there will be such an uproar from the public it will set the libs back 100 years. I PRAY I'M RIGHT
