NOW Shut Up

by Jo | September 1st, 2008

The National Organization of Women fought for women’s rights in the early time of their forming.  They wanted women to be able to feel free to leave the home and get jobs.  The children would be fine in day care.  This was their right!!

Naturally, the NOW (or NAGS as Rush calls them) are democrats.

But now that a woman, again, has stepped up to the plate to run for the 2nd highest office in the land, the NOW women are against her.   See, Sarah Palin doesn’t believe in abortion and of course, she’s a Republican, so all that the NOW group stood for in the beginning is turned around and not true.

Now, a woman with a special needs child is ignoring her “duties” by running for office.   There are even lies being spread about Trig possibly being her grandchild.  Photographic proof has had to be located to dispute that charge.

What the hell has happened to women’s rights in this country?   Have we come this far to just go backwards because a (gasp) Republican woman has chosen a career in politics?  How dare she turn her back on her children … OMG!

If her husband was McCain’s choice and not Sarah, not a damn peep would be heard about Trig other than a note in the family bio.

Shame on you NOW.

Shame on those who fought for women’s rights.

Women’s rights have no buts in them about special needs children should be aborted, or if not, the woman should stay home and raise them.

I’m glad I never swallowed that NOW crap growing up.   Because if I had, I’d be damn ashamed of myself about now.

Bravo Sarah for chosing to do what you wanted to do.

Screw NOW and all they stand for.
