… doesn’t this violate free speech?

The prospect of protesters linking themselves with devices that bolt cutters can’t sever or throwing buckets of feces on police has Denver considering putting a new law on the books before the Democratic National Convention.

Demonstrators would be banned from having items such as chains, quick-setting cement, homemade locking devices that are resistant to bolt cutters and “any noxious substance,” City Council members said Monday.

Do we have to protest the treatment of protestors now?

One Response to “Urm, I have a Question …”

  1. No, ma’am it doesn’t violate the first amendment right to free speech. Speech has nothing to do with protecting the local public order and as long as these individuals civil rights are not violated by the officers involved from the Denver PD I think all Constitutional rights will be safe during the Democratic party’s celebration and “coronation” of Barack Hussein Obama as their nominee.

On the other hand I would be concerned if I were a Ron Paul supporter that my hotel room might be bugged or that my clothing and money might be stolen from my room or I might end up in a cell in a warehouse as many did in New York City in 2004 during the Republican National Convention.

Sources tell me that party officials have already begun to scour hotel registration lists for people who are to be “barred from participating” at the Minneapolis event and “harassed” if necessary to decrease the number of Paul supporters that show up at his rally at the University of Minnesota.

And finally, so I may impress upon you how serious this matter is for all on Terra, the quote from Obama is not as your No Obama slash sign indicates, “I would be a poor commander in chief if I didn’t take facts on the ground into account,” is the full and accurate quote that he made. I understand that you are a partisan and are an acolyte of the GOP, but if you cannot win arguments and sway moderates with the truth what are you doing in this contest? I know McCain likely wasn’t your first choice but you are sacked with him now, make the best of it. In this brave new world of PATRIOT Act civil liberties a woman like you with a mortgage would look pretty silly getting sued for libel over an Obama truncated quote that only needed to framed with quotation marks and ellipses. Heck, at my site we’ve had to retract things too even here in Hell you need lawyers and you have to be careful.

    Qu’ul cuda praedex nihil!
