Jai at Blog Oh! Blog has a great post about commenting on others blog you visit.
I try to comment on the blogs I visit, even if I simply say “I agree.”
Plus when you comment, you leave your fingerprints back to your own site - generating traffic.
Be a good visitor and say hello when ever you visit a great blog.

“The press calls blogging a fad that will pass. I think this is wishful thinking on their part because someday blogs could replace the digital media and they know this. They know it because they have lost the ability to be spontaneous and above all, they are loath to offer the public even a minor voice (think comments).
People like to be heard. This is not a fad. It is human nature.”

I try to leave a comment of some kind, too. Even if it’s just to say good job. We all can use encouragement with our blogs!

I have the best of intentions, if everyone in my reader wouldn’t update all at once, it might be easier. LOL

I have to confess that in the mornings I sometimes have over 300 blogs reporting to my reader and I cannot read all of the, or comment on all of them. But sometimes I see great posts and no comments on them … so I try too.

You are correct. So, “hello.”
I read so many blogs in my google reader nowadays and I have become terrible at commenting.

First of all - HOWDY! Heh. (thanks for the link in your Google Shared items, btw) And somehow you need to be on my friends list of shared items in Google, so I can see them in my Reader too.
I feel the Google Reader pain expressed. I must do better at commenting.
