(Brought from my Week END Wrap post on April 12, 2008) Had a blonde moment this week, actually for two days, in my diabetic world. Wednesday and Thursday I pushed my sugar limits too far. I got mucho sleepy on Wednesday afternoon, but fought through it and didn’t test when I got home. Thursday, about 2:30 the same thing happened, but this time I came home and tested. 259 the first stick, 241 the second stick. Action Now!!! I put on my walking shoes, grabbed the dog, iPod and Blackberry and damn near force-marched a mile. I rested for an hour after returning and my sugar was back down to a nice 87. Not exercising has been my biggest issue to deal with in regard and I think my body has finally said ENOUGH! I’m paying attention now.

Amy at Diabetes Mine posts about all the extra junk that now goes into a land-fill somewhere. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not an Al Gore snob, but there is a point when Mother Earth needs to come first. I bought a tube of some girlie stuff this weekend and there was twice as much packaging as product.

Fortunately, foot pain can almost always be prevented, improved, and usually eliminated completely. So it’s worth reviewing.
I gotta get some issues with my feet worked on .. the above article is a great start for anyone dealing with these issues.
