We are judged not just by our words, but by the company we keep. The litmus test should not be whether or not everyone a candidate knows is ideal. That is an impossible standard. The true measure of a man is in his ability to choose friends with which he can be proud to stand shoulder to shoulder, not those about whom he must equivocate and for whom he must apologize.“

People can go on about some preacher that “endorsed” John McCain who evidently made some not so nice statements about Catholics, but they are simply trying to throw something against the wall to see if it will stick.  (Kinda like the NYSlims and the supposed affair story.)

Being “endorsed” by someone is not the same being spiritually lead by someone for over 17 years.

John McCain does not attend Pastor Hagge’s church.   Pastor Hagge believes John McCain is the best to lead this nation.

Barack Hussein Obama DOES attend Jeremiah Wright’s church - has for over 17 years.

Its as clear as day to those of us that don’t hate.

Only those that hate (ie: Jeremiah Wright) and their ilk will try and equal an endorsement with years of tutalige.

Does Barack Hussein Obama believe what Rev. Wright says?

Think about it for a minute.  After 17 years …. I think he does.

Oh, and you liberal loons with the tin-foil hats spinning at 90 mph from reading this, put these thoughts in your peace-pipe and smoke it:

1. Gravatar Does John McCain attend the church that Pastor Hagge is at?

No.

2.  Has John McCain listened to, accepted guidence from Hagge?

No.

3.  Did John McCain ask Hagge to marry him and Cindy, or accept his children into his church?

No.

4.  Did John McCain list Hagge as his spirtual advisor on his website, then remove it when the truth came out?

No.

5.  Did John McCain name a book after part of a sermon given by Hagge?

No.

I won’t go on … you get the point.  Liberals are grabbing onto straws again (sigh).

Even Oprah was smart enough to fly from this man’s hate.

  2. Thanks Belle. I put down how I feel is all. Notice Hillary is being very very quiet? Hmmmm

  3. The whole issue will be attached to race… so that those who do hold both Barrack and his preacher accountable, can be tagged as bigots/racists.

The media is suggesting that white America simply does not understand the black America experience. What is not being said is that both black and white America clearly understand when some one says ‘God Damn America’.

No excuses. This guy and his preacher are bad for everyone of any color.

  5. Jo,

Very good article…By the way, I wonder if anyone has seen this from Pastor John Hagee:

    Dear Friend,

After days of media misrepresentation, I feel the need to respond to slanderous media reports. The truth is I am not now nor have I ever been anti-Catholic. That has been demonstrated in a life time of ministry that has assisted Catholics and the Catholic Church. I have given thousands of dollars to the Catholic Church for disaster relief and have personally supported a local convent for many years. Cornerstone Church has operated a social services center that gives food and clothing daily to people who in the majority are Catholic. My wife comes from a Catholic family and millions of my viewers are Catholics.

Many in the media have mistakenly accepted characterizations of my statements which simply are not true. I never called the Catholic Church the “anti-Christ” a “false cult system” “the apostate church” or the “great whore” of Revelations. This is a serious misinterpretation of my words. When I use these terms, I am referring to those Christians who ignore the Gospels and embrace the false doctrines of Jew-hatred and anti-Semitism.

Throughout my career I have been a strong critic of Christian anti-Semitism. I have consistently criticized all Christians – Protestant and Catholic alike – for the sin of anti-Semitism. In fact I rarely address this topic without castigating the founder of Protestantism, Martin Luther, for the horrendous anti-Semitism he spouted towards the end of his career. It is a bitter irony that in my zeal to hold my fellow Christians accountable for our past anti-Semitism, I now find my self compared to an anti-Semite.

When I condemn anti-Semitic Christians – Protestant and Catholics alike – I am in no way referring to those Protestants and Catholics who have rejected this sinful belief. On the contrary, I have repeatedly praised the “righteous works” of Catholics such as Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict in rejecting anti-Semitism and taking historic steps to reconcile with the Jewish people. I have always had great love for Catholic people and great respect for the Catholic Church and hope this statement sets the record straight.

    Sincerely,

    Pastor John Hagee

I have seen this man preach, and I agree with many of his teachings and his views. He has never, ever called the Catholic Church the apostate church or “The Great Whore” of Babylon.

Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents.
