There are just some odors that assault your senses all the way down to the toes and back.

A smell just that intense hit my nose upon entering the house yesterday.   For those of us with pets, we know there will be accidentsm but it has been a long time since Roscoe messed his crate during the day, so the “accident” yesterday was a might ripe. 

Upon opening the back door, the odor to top all odors waifed out of the kitchen.   Barking and smacking at the crate door, Roscoe wanted OUT!  When I opened the crate door, he flew out, wet feet and odor going every which way.  “OUT,” I managed to say as I opened the back door, dragging the offending crate and dog with me.  Of course he wanted to play - trying to jump up on me.  After a chilling hose off of the crate, I managed to corral him up from his tearing around the back yard and into the house.  OMG the smell hung in the air like a fog. 

I kept him in the kitchen and mopped up the mess as best as I could.  Foot prints everywhere of a brown nature.  Next it was evident that someone [ no names so as not to embarrass ] needed a bath badly. 

An hour or so later, after supper and evening small talk, off to the shower he went.  DH and Roscoe shared the small confined space, but eventually the water turned from brown to clear and the smell finally DIED!  Roscoe loves taking a bath because afterward he gets to play wrap up in the towel.
