Jamie Lynn Spears, the now fallen angel sister of that Brittney nut-case, announced to the world that she is “with child.”  Married?  blaahhaaa Not in this day and age. 

Via the AP on December 18, 2007:

NEW YORK (AP) — Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way — and it’s not Britney’s. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old “Zoey 101″ star and sister of Britney, told OK! magazine that she’s pregnant and that the father is her boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.

“It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected,” she said. “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.”

Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.

Excuuussseeee me?  “I was in complete and total shock and so was he.“   Now — no where in that article, or anywhere else I’ve looked, does it say that they were practicing “safe sex” or that the “condom” failed.   So Ms. Spears, don’t tell me it was “total shock” when you knew damn well what could happen during unprotected sex.  If you don’t know by now, you obviously graduated from the school of No Clue.  But then again when you have a mother like she does (who spawned Brittney first) the parenting skills, or I should say the lack thereof, have already been seen from coast to coast. 

Example noted from the same article via the AP:

Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney’s young sons, told the magazine: “I didn’t believe it because Jamie Lynn’s always been so conscientious. She’s never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby.”

I don’t think being late for her curfew is the issue here mommy dearest — its if she’s late on her period don’tcha think?  This woman cannot be as stupid as she’s making herself out to be.   Let me give you a hint brick there Mrs. Spears — sex doesn’t have a curfew!!!

BUT I’ve heard some twitter around the news arenas that the “act” may have occurred in Louisiana with her 19 year old boyfriend.    

According to Louisiana Law, any person between the age of 12 and 17 is not considered an adult when dealing with marital relations out of marriage.

The Daily Mail on December 20, 2007 has an article about the possible charges facing the father to be:

The boyfriend of Jamie Lynn Spears could face statutory rape charges after getting Britney Spears’ sister pregnant at 16, it has been revealed.

And Casey Aldridge, 19, could face up to 10 years if convicted, possibly with hard labour.

Here is my issue with this whole thing (and the main reason for the post):

IF the act occurred in Louisiana in violation of the laws of that State, and IF Mr. Aldridge is not prosecuted to the fullest extent, or some fraction of said law … then every person currently on probation or in prison for a similar offense needs to be released ASAP and their records expunged, along with anyone who has already completed any sentence for the same offense.

In order to determine when and where the act occurred though, someone would have to tell the truth. 

So until we hear from the participants, we don’t know for sure where this occurred. 

All I do know is that if no prosecution takes place once the needed information is learned, then it is a disservice too all previous victims in that State.
