In my last doctor’s visit, he put me on Lipitor for my high cholestoral. Well dummy me didn’t check out the side effects when I started feeling badly. During a chat with a co-worker about how I was feeling, she mentioned it sounded just like what he husband went through when he was on it. Muscle aches that felt like molassas. Only he had a lot more pain than I was experiencing.
I went to the Lipitor website and sure enough, one of the side effects is aches in the muscles.
The most common side effects of LIPITOR are:
- Headache
- Constipation
- Diarrhea
- Gas
- Upset stomach and stomach pain
- Rash
- Muscle and joint pain
This is just one day without the medication and I feel 60% better than I had been.
I will wait and call the doctor on Monday and let him know and get switched to something else.
I should know better by now, but this one time I didn’t check, I had a side effect that was making me miserable.

Bless your heart!
It seems nowadays some meds aren’t worth it because the side effects are worse than what’s actually being treated!

Isn’t that the truth? You know I really didn’t want to take the stuff, but I had messed up in not eating right and my cholestoral had gone through the roof so he said “four months” only. I am feeling 100% better this morning …

They had to put my husband on something else…it didn’t agree with him, either.
