Turkey After Day

by Jo | November 23rd, 2007

Welcome to the official kick-off to massive holiday shopping and planning.

Me?  I’m sitting my backside right here and am not moving out of the house except to maybe walk the dog.

My shopping is done on the internet:

Do you do Black Friday online?  Tell me where!

How long is your list?   Thankfully mine is 1 - the SGM(R)

Check out this video of one of our soldiers in Afghanistan.

Oh Look … someone else has really great taste in themes.  But of course, they are not the same because the two different personalities make them unique.

  1. I’m going to the local Sears and buying a freezer on sale.

  2. I see you shop as I do. It’s the only way. People are crazy. My list is blessedly short, too. My husband, our son, and my mother inlaw. We will send gift cards to hubby’s two granddaughters. No fuss, no muss. I’m still debating if I’ll even send out Christmas cards this year.

Love the new look of the blog!

  3. I’m going to send out cards, but I’ve noticed my list gets smaller each year.

  4. Hahahaha! When I got here I thought, “Hey, did I click on the link to my own site?”

I love Amazon.com - I use it for all my book & CD needs. We did venture out to the real stores though, to pick up a few things. Usually we avoid all stores on Black Friday at all costs, but there were actually a few deals we couldn’t pass up and fortunately, they weren’t popular enough to be sold out at 9 AM!

I’m very happy for the “relaxed” feeling I now have during the Christmas season. When Seth was in Iraq I had to have all his Christmas shopping done, wrapped and shipped by the Monday after Thanksgiving. I figured it would be fun to get EVERYONE’S shopping, wrapping and shipping done by the same time. Never again!
