Weekend Wrap UP

Saturday, 22 September 2007, 3:19

Ah, another weekend and another chance to recharge before we head back into the week of work.  We don’t have much planned other than the normal stuff, but the SGM(R) is preparing for his class next week and I’ll continue to learn about Vista and getting this laptop set up for our regular use away from the house, or just in the living room.  I am going through my Boca Java order from last week.  Have you tried their ?

Much news has crossed our paths this week, from the unimportant, the UGH and the “Jenna Six“.  We decided tonight that the news media, all of them, have turned into the National Inquirer, putting more importance on the entertainment industry and their horrible lives than the important things that are going on.

The terrorist leader from Iran is paying the UN a visit, and the socialist at Columbia U, who hate the military, have welcomed this murder mastermind to their campus.  The kids are getting a real “higher” education uh?  If I was parent paying the tuition, they’d lose mine next term.

So onward and upward.  More links from my Google Reader and iGoogle Bookmarks.   Add yours.

Sunday Additions:

Welcome to the first day of Fall, September 23, 2007.

Why are we allowing the president of Iran the freedoms afforded citizens of these United States when he doesn’t allow half as many in his own country? I’m afraid that showing him the courtesy of freedom here doesn’t do any good. He should only be allowed travel to the UN then back to his plane, under full escort, and sent home. The University of Columbia should be ashamed, very ashamed.

Hey, Jo! I agree – the news has been terribly over-the-top and sensational this past week. I am sick and tired of it.

As for Boca Java, I’ve been hearing them advertised on our local news talk radio station. But thanks to you, I’m now a new member of their connoisseur club!!

Eric, or anyone else, I do hope you enjoy it. I’m on my third order now, thanks to Tre, and continue to love it. The Riveira Roast was a bit too stout for me – so if you like strong coffee, try that. I am also getting the Brew for Bravery now, Karen, so it helps send some to the guys/gals overseas.
