After starting my day and getting Roscoe settled in with his chew toy, I headed over to the local liberal rag, The Columbus-Ledger Enquirer, to see what happened over night.  Three blazing headlines:

• 25-year-old man gunned down in Phenix City
• Man faces life in rape
• Iraqi sacrifices his life to save U.S. soldiers

This is the order they were in.  Notice the “good” feeling headline was settled on the page so you read it last, or maybe not at all.   Good news doesn’t get on the front page too much anymore it seems.  There has been a serious rash of crime going on in our area the last few months.  At first I wasn’t too worried about it, knowing the media tends to overblow stuff and stats for the previous year were not off by much to the current situation - then blam, all heck started pouring over.   Murder, rapes, and burglaries with injuries are breaking out everywhere.  

Dog Days of Summer or Global Warming?  I don’t know, but I think we should find some way to blame it on Al Gore.  (snort)  I mean if he’d shut his mouth, half the problem of too-hot air would be solved!   Cranky this morning?  No - just sick of the fact that liberals are allowed to name call and still feel superior, but if a Republican even appears to be name calling, the world must stop while they whine and complain about it wall-to-wall on the media.

Oh - did you know that Jane “I hate America but Love the Communist” Fonda started a radio talk show?  Nope, I didn’t either.  Well, don’t you fret now, cause evidently we didn’t miss much cause it’s already tanked ala Air America.

Ah, it will be a better day today, even if I have to wrestle it into submission!
