On Tuesday this week, our area had a really nasty thunderstorm blow through.  Much needed rain fell and the power flickered off and on.  When I got home, the SGM(R) informed me there was no dial tone.

Excuse me?  How the heck am I suppose to get on the internet through my DSL with no dial tone!!!

Did anyone think to call the phone company?    Let’s not go there.

So I figure - heck, I have a nice Blackberry with EDGE and net access, I can get my emails and such.

BLAH! For some reason the storm must have knocked out more than just the Bellsouth/AT&T lines, cause the tower strength for our T-Mobile account was zip, zero nada.

What do we do now?

(blink blink - blank look)

What the hell did we do BEFORE the internet?

Thankfully there was cable and computer games.

We are so damn spoiled!!

  1. What the hell did we do BEFORE the internet?

We still watched TV and played games…. At least when *I* was a kid before the internet LOL

  2. Oh we found enough to keep us busy - but its a shock to your system when you’re used to doing certain things online before bed time!
