Fortunately, and thank god, she didn’t kill someone, but this is not a national news story to take away from what else is going on in the world.

That’s an accurate characterization. I don’t understand why we keep seeing them. It disgusts me that it’s considered news. And I suppose it’s considered news because some people are obsessed with hollywood and celebrities so much that that’s what they tune in to see.
And the rest of the world events are not even on the radar screen.
