I have a bottle in a brown paper bag at work.
Oh please, stop the fluttering hands and expressions of shock — if you are thinking of spirits as being hidden - go to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200.
No - I have to hide my coffee creamer in a brown paper bag. There is one gal in the office that uses my creamer and she asks, and its not that often. She reciprocates too.
I am a snob when it comes to my coffee creamer, preferring one brand. Now Coffeemate makes sugar-free creamers, so my love for this product didn’t change much after I became a diabetic.
But boy do we have some creamer snitchers in this office. How do I know? I caught someone using mine one day. I didn’t say a word, just refilled my coffee cup and as that person walked out of the break room, I moved the creamer to another part of the fridge. I have moved it, taken to writing on it “DON’T USE UNLESS YOU ASK”, put my name on it, and taped a note to it. I’ve even went so far as to open it up and peel back the tinfoil just a bit so I could pour some out, then replace it and the cap. When someone tries to use it and flip the cap up, they will see it is still sealed and hopefully find someone else’s property to steal.
Hasn’t stopped them.
The last try worked for about a week. Someone must have seen me getting the creamer and knew it wasn’t sealed.
Today I added a brown-paper bag to the hide and seek with my creamer. Hopefully out of sight out of mind.
I work with a bunch of thieves.

You can image me mentally as - rolling on the floor on this one, Jo!
You see, I love the French Vanilla variety liquid creamer… Carnation is best. I try to keep a bottle in the fridge but it never lasts very long.
Nobody but me will actually buy the stuff but when I do, they all borrow from it until it’s gone. It’s never replaced unless I do the replacing.
I even called a ‘family meeting’… you know, we all gather at the dinner table and sit patiently as the great patriarch speaks. I expressed my happiness that they too… ‘whoever’ they were, also liked the vanilla creamer but, could we maybe deposit some spare change into the ‘Creamer Supply Fund’?
No one ‘fessed up but I did start finding pennies and nickels on the counter next to the coffee pot. To date… two months after that meeting, we have a total of $1.34 in the fund while over the same period, dispensing with almost eight bottles of the stuff!
It’s hopeless, lol!

I thought about buying one of those gift bags you put on wine bottles to hide it in, but I figured “everyone” would take a peek then.

Jo,
Put it in another container, something they won’t want to use (well not for coffee anyway).

Sick. Sick that people would be dishonest about something so small. It makes you wonder about other areas of their lives….

Put it in another (clear) container and label it “Breast Milk”.
