Jo's Cafe

Now that Nifong has gone down in flames and lost his law license — where are the people that were so loudly against the Duke Players, and even swore that there would be protests in the streets if they were not convicted?  Huh?  Is that silence I hear where apologies should be?   Again this country is subjected to liberal lies, threats and stupidity – and when the egg starts smearing all over their faces – nothing is done to them.  They are not forced to retract their unsupported statements or threats, but allowed to move on to their next victim.  When are we as a nation going to stand up and demand the left and their nutjob hatchetmen publicly admit they were wrong?  What has happened to the backbone of this country?  Have we all turned into wimps?   I say its high time we stop letting these hatemongers off with just a whiff of their backsides as they go down the road.

Love our HD-TV now that we are getting the full use of it with the new cable box.  The close-captioning doesn’t work though – going to have to call the cable company and see if they need to flip something on.  I got to looking at the instructions on how to download from the DVR to the DVD and my eyes crossed after step 3.  Maybe I can find someone else that can help with … “now insert here, flip this here …” type instructions – maybe even with pictures!

Did you watch “Ice Road Truckers” Sunday night?  We taped it and viewed it last night.  Holy Smokes batman this is going to be fun to watch.  These guys make enough money in a short 3 month period as most people make all year, just to drive semi-trucks over a frozen lake!   I hope they only do one series and then  move on though. We don’t need an “Ice Road Truckers XX” like “Survivor“.  This “is” real life – not like what Mark Burnetts show has devolved to.

Roscoe goes to the vet for another check up today.  Going to be interesting to see how much he weighs now.  We believe he’s doubled in size just in the last week.  What a gift from God this little bit is …
