The local TV stations want a piece of the cable rebroadcast pie so the cost of it is then happily handed to the subscriber. I find plenty of fault with both the TV stations and our monopoly holding cable company. They're just looking out for number one... and that ain't us. If we want a fair shake, I guess we're going to have to shake the tree ourselves on occasion and see what falls.
