Jo's Cafe

The SGM is moving through his retirement appointments this week and starting the re-take of his Accounting class. The first time he took it was when he was in the Sergeant Major’s Academy and he was trying to take 3 courses along with his military school work and it was too much. He also had a hard time understanding what was being taught, and I’m sure distance learning has its disadvantages. This go-round is a new instructor and new study book ($175). The book already gives us hope of a different out-come this time round.

I never went to college; enlisted in the Army instead. Yes, I could have gone after enlisting, but I was 18 years old and finally away from my horrid mother and life in Southern Minnesota, so “higher learning” wasn’t even on my list.   I could go now but I don’t see what it would get me actually.  I make, and have made, good money at great jobs without it.  But I’m proud the SGM is finishing up his degree.  

And if he has problems this time we could always get Tre to help long-distance right?  (grin)
