The vet said that… unofficially of course, pets can be just like children… like when a new arrival (a baby sibling) makes them feel displaced, they can act out their emotions by behaving strangely. The recommendation was to make a point of reassuring our dog that he was still important by paying some extra attention to him… and giving him extra treats and such. I thought it was a lot of over-think at the time too… but we followed the advice and the dog came out of his funk in a matter of a few days. So while our human younguns are now mostly grown, we still have two to go lol!!
