Our new member of the family came home yesterday.

Meet Roscoe

He had never been in a crate before and was none too happy about the experience.

Here he is in the backyard after we got home. It was a long drive up and back, but he’s a puppy - he can deal.

I didn’t get much sleep last night. Up and down putting him out and running him around to make him go back to sleep. He did actually fall asleep on my stomach one time and I just went back to sleep myself. Didn’t last long, his wiggling woke me up.

Bubba is NONE TOO HAPPY about all this. He’s been the big dog for over a year now and this rambunctious little twit drives him nuts.

We guessed at his weight and feed him accordingly, but he was still hungry.   So I got out the scale and dang it all — he’s 19 pounds at 9 weeks!!!  No wonder he was hungry, I fed him as if he weighed 5 pounds.   Looks like the next size bag we get of puppy food is going to be in the 50# range.
