“The Unit”

When this show first came out, I loved it.  It was during the time the SGM was in Afghanistan and I fell in love with the soldiers and their wives.

Now I can’t watch it anymore.   I don’t know if it has been there the whole time, but I do recall being offended with Tiffy sleeping with the Colonel.  Both were/are wrong with what they were doing and he manipulated Mack to fit his needs.

The longer the show went on, the more and more I was upset how the wives were shown.

People – not all military wives sleep with their husband’s commander.   Nor do all military wives push and shove people around like Kim Brown.  Sure, we have our issues, but it seems this show is displaying more and more the negative side of “our” issues.

Maybe reality isn’t so pretty to the TV viewers or producers, but I cannot support this show any longer when they continue to make the wives out to be pushy brats and sluts.

Yeah. That’s classic. I recall listening to NPR after h commercial success of The Passion, and anthony Michael Hall was going to attract the same market, by playing a priest who had a drug habit or somesuch at a Christian academy with a ring of pedophiles and a token sexually moral gay character adn all the rest. Most entertainment people cannot set aside their warped world-views even to appeal to people that do not share it. Oh well, what can you do, except what you’ve done?
