Trelaina says I’m a geek; but alas I think this is the pot calling the kettle black. We’re both geeks in a way. I like gadgets, that work for me, within reason.  Hubby and I both have had PDAs for some time, me first then I talked him into one.  He loved it!  We started out using the Handspring Treo products, but stopped at the level of PDA+Phone.   That is until my Treo 90 starting having issues with working. 

I broke down last year and bought a Blackberry 8700g, combing my love and need for a PDA with my cell phone.  The only thing I don’t like about it is the size when making a call.  It just “feels” wrong, but for everying else it fits my needs. I also got this great Motorola hands-free speaker that goes in the car, using Bluetooth, so I don’t have to have that ugly speaker attached to my head. I would recommend it to everyone.


Hubby’s Treo 90 didn’t make back from Afghanistan alive. Poor thing found itself under an ammo can and in a million peices. He couldn’t be revived. Upon returning home, he said he needed a replacement, but didn’t want to go the BB route. After upgrading his phone to a Motor Razer, we started looking for a new PDA for him. Unfortunately, without the Treo PDAs being supported anymore, I had to find something else. This is where Trelaina comes in. She had gotten for herself and Axim 51x from Dell and loves it. So going with her glowing recommendation, I got one for the SGM. And he loves it too! Mostly because he can sit on the couch and surf the net, or just check his email without having to boot up his whole system. I can do the same on my BB, within reason – but it works too.
