Week Ending Notes…

Continuing my thoughts this week on news items…

Walter Reed patients told to keep quiet

I hope no-one is surprised about this. Like I stated here and here, the military doesn’t care and instead of trying to be honest and up front about the issues, they try and hide it; even threatening soldiers to remain quiet about their bad treatment.

And today (Thursday) this.  Good.  Unfortunately firing a “general” looks good on paper, and may please the public, but he will probably be moved to another command and allowed to retire quietly in about a year.  BUT - its a move forward, and no it all won’t be fixed by the time hubby retires in August, but at least there will be changes to benefit the warriors that need it.

Wow, Saturday morning and more heads are falling over this.  (Trust me, he didn’t resign, he was “told to resign”.) It may have come too late for some, but at least something is started.  How long it will last, I don’t know. I don’t trust the military to follow through with anything they say they are going to tod.

Where In the World is Jack?

Not this Jack; this Jack. Its time he’s freed.

Alabama Tornado  (Deadly tornadoes strike three states)

The safest place to be when I was growing up was in school - according to all the adults.  Even earlier on, you were supposedly even safe from a nuclear attack.  But it doesn’t make any difference where you are when mother nature has a hissy fit.  We lived in Killeen, Texas when the F5 went through and wiped Jerrell, Texas to the ground.  I’m terrified of tornados - maybe its a healthy fear, but don’t ask the SGM that.

Redoubt has pictures of some of the nasty results in the Columbus, GA and surrounding area from our F2.
