SGM’s Hooch
I told hubby about what Washington Post blogger William Arkin said about the amenities that soldiers get when they go to war. He chuckled and reminded me of his living conditions while in Afghanistan.
Does this look like an amenity to you?
Maybe it’s the whirlpool tub and room service you can’t see he’s talking about?

Please give my regards to your husband and tell him that I, as an American, am forever grateful for his service and commitment to protecting our country, The United States of America. Words alone cannot express my gratitude. I will say a prayer for his safety and in hopes that he will be back in your loving arms, soon.
And thank you Miss Trelaina, for the trying toil that you bare during his long absence. I will pray that the Lord will fill your void with loving memories of yesterday, along with pleasant anticipation of the wonderful tomorrows that you two will soon share.
Respectfully yours,
Prescott
