Amazing that a lot of what I have been hearing on talk radio is more about how Nancy looked and how the Dems reacted (or didn't) than the substance of the speech.

I didn't watch it. I wanted to hear what our President had to say, but I couldn't bear to watch democrats in Congress alternate between fake respect (during the parts where they get their face on TV) and the disrespect they typically show during his speech.

Then, today they embarassed themselves and our entire nation with their hideous vote.

State of the Union 2007

A great tradition of the State of the Union event is the honoring of ordinary individuals in extraordinary circumstances.

Yes, I can verify that Senator Lurch, er, Kerry did in fact almost break a limb barreling out of the place after the speech. He bolted as the others stood to applaud the ending of the speech.
I love GWB. I felt so bad for him in such a hostile environment, those idiots just don't get it. I will be forever grateful that he was President on 9/11, for the sake of us all.

Thanks for the mention. I watched from beginning to end, also watched the commentary prior to the speech and the commentary afterwards. There were no surprises. As I said in my first post yesterday before the speech, everything was already out there in the news/web. The highlight for me was the introduction of the heroes at the end of the speech.

I too watched Speaker Botox. Was she chewing gum, or did she have a mint in her mouth? She sure was making some awful faces.

At least she did stand and applaud a large number of the Presidents' comments.
