SOTU Reactions

Wednesday, 24 January 2007, 6:03

The SGM and I watched it, but I have to admit, I started zoning on the education and internal stuff.  Hubby wanted to watch Nancy’s body language, I just wanted GW to tell them all to go stuff it – he was in charge and live with it.

I missed it, but hubby says John Kerry damn near broke his neck getting out of the building when the speech was over.  Anyone else see it?

Again my President showed more class in the first 30 seconds than Pelosi couldn’t have bought and added to the facade she wore.  Honey, you may be in your 60s and paid the best doctors and clothiers, but the insides of you can NEVER stand up to that which President Bush and his family have inside.  Spit and polish only cover up your ugliness.  Don’t believe me?  Matt at GOP Bloggers notes the “ethical” guest of the new speaker of the house here.

Here are some reactions from my favorites reads:

(Geez guys, had to get to the D’s before I could find anything!)

(Maybe I will find more later in the day)

Thanks for the mention. I watched from beginning to end, also watched the commentary prior to the speech and the commentary afterwards. There were no surprises. As I said in my first post yesterday before the speech, everything was already out there in the news/web. The highlight for me was the introduction of the heroes at the end of the speech.

I too watched Speaker Botox. Was she chewing gum, or did she have a mint in her mouth? She sure was making some awful faces.

At least she did stand and applaud a large number of the Presidents’ comments.

Yes, I can verify that Senator Lurch, er, Kerry did in fact almost break a limb barreling out of the place after the speech. He bolted as the others stood to applaud the ending of the speech.
I love GWB. I felt so bad for him in such a hostile environment, those idiots just don’t get it. I will be forever grateful that he was President on 9/11, for the sake of us all.

I didn’t watch it. I wanted to hear what our President had to say, but I couldn’t bear to watch democrats in Congress alternate between fake respect (during the parts where they get their face on TV) and the disrespect they typically show during his speech.

Then, today they embarassed themselves and our entire nation with their hideous vote.

Amazing that a lot of what I have been hearing on talk radio is more about how Nancy looked and how the Dems reacted (or didn’t) than the substance of the speech.
