Determination

by Jo | January 9th, 2007

From Merriam-Webster Online:

b : firm or fixed intention to achieve a desired end

But … here is the Army Version:

When a SGM is sick and tired of being snowed on, cold and in a country far away from home.

Home date has MOVED up to Friday.

Got a phone call last night and he was in Manis, Kurdistan — where he was suppose to be on the 16th, but geez, he’s early!   So, if everything goes okay - yeah this is the Army - he should be in Baltimore by Thursday night, maybe even tomorrow night, and home by the weekend.

Determination now has a picture of my husband next to it in the dictionary

  1. Great news, Jo! I know you are down to counting the minutes and seconds now, lol!

    Thanks for sharing

  2. That’s wonderful news! I didn’t know the Army ever did anything ahead of time! HA!

    I’m excited for you!

  3. Good news! On occasion the Army runs things smoothly, I myself was once stuck in Manis for several days, believe me, your Soldier is lucky to get out of there ahead of schedule.
