And really can’t be done well.
But Jo, why are you attempting such a thing?
Well, it’s like this — the majority of the right side of my face is swollen up, to the point it is up under my eye now.
I am holding a warm wash rag to it, so ergo the one hand to type with!
This all stems from a temporary crown I had re-glued back on last week. The pain started Saturday, then yesterday dissipated enough for me to go to work. But alas, as with all dental pain, it returned. I came home and slept.
However, I noticed the swelling last night before going to bed - and now this morning it is 3 times worse!!
I was putting cold compresses on it - swelling to go down use cold right? Well not in the sinus area according to WebMD. So now it’s warm compresses and at 8:30 am sharp a call to the dentist.
I hate my teeth!
** Update **
Massive infection. I have an “emergency” root canal scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. I’ve got super duper antibiotics and pain meds. Think I’ll go find the movie “The Wall” and see how good the pain meds really are
Anyway, thanks for the concern and emails I’ve gotten.
Man - times like this I miss the SGM badly.

Sounds like it may be an adverse reaction to the adhesive…
