Really Hard-Up For Cash
It has to be pretty bad for you when you have to rob a Dollar General store. I mean, there isn’t anything in there over $5 at the most worth buying!
Columbus [Georgia] Police are investigating the Friday morning armed robbery of a Dollar General store.
The store at 2602 Manchester Expressway was robbed at 9:52 a.m. by a man wearing glasses, a long-sleeve blue shirt and carrying a small, black pistol, Police Lt. Vince Pasko said.
“He acted as if he was going to make a purchase, but when he got to the counter, he pulled the pistol and demanded money,” Pasko said.
The robber took an undisclosed amount of money, Pasko said. No shots were fired, and no one was injured. Before leaving, he ordered the clerk to move to the back of the store.
“He was last seen on foot,” Pasko said.

Having worked for a Family Dollar store, I can tell you that Dollar General stores are, for the most part, even worse than Family Dollar
That said, I can vouch for the fact that most people who shop at those types of stores pay cash. I won’t mention the security they have :whistle:
