Memorial Day
The Specials are taking a day off.

Today when you see a US Flag stop and thank God for all those that have come before, are fighting now, and will come in the future to protect what you have. If you see a soldier, shake their hand and thank them for their service. It is because of them you live in a free country.

I do. Several people I know think that’s ‘weird’ or feel sorry for me because I’m “an emotional woman.” Truth be told, I pity them.

I got very teary eyed at one of the high school football games this year, when the band at my grandchildren’s school played this song while the flag was being raised. It just got to me how much we take for granted in our land of freedom!
