Well I at least got out of there without a flu shot! Woohoo.
Doc was very pleased with my continuing good results since starting Lantus. He had me stop taking the Stalix at meals, since I wasn’t taking it anyway, and no more Actos either! This drug is used for the insulin resistance, but I haven’t been taking it consistently either. Once a week at most. I have lost a pound and Actos tends to keep weight on a person, and weight is not good for a diabetic.
See in him 6 months with a full blood panel the week before.
I have this diabetes under “very good control” was his exact words.
Folks, if you are a Type II not in control no matter what you do, try Lantus. It’s not for everyone, but I can take the shots. They hardly sting, and sometimes hurt less than getting you daily finger pricks. Think it over and ask your doctor about it. It turned me from high 200s to normal within DAYS.
