We meet the four Teams:
-La Mina
-Bayoneta
-Casaya
-Viveros
Of course we have the obligatory “boobs” girl. Then a guy that appears to have vampire teeth, and one gal complaining about being considered “old.” No clue what the age brackets were.
Right at the top was a reward challenge for fire. One member from each team races to find an amulet hidden in a skull at the end of the island. Losing team has to leave one person on Exile Island.

Young Women do do Rock, Paper, Scissors and Misty has to stay.
Jeff then explains Exile Island. There is an immunity idol on the island. Clues will be given. You can use an idol at any point in the game up to the final 4. It can also be used “after” the vote at Tribal Council. The teams move out to their beaches and leave Misty alone. She will be allowed to return to her tribe at the first immunity challenge.
Everyone arrives on the island. Oh we have a wimpy gal that is afraid of bugs leaves — what the hell are you doing on this island? OMG — please stop the singing .. vote her off! The boys are playing some kind of hand energy game … zzzzzzz; and their shelter sucks to high heaven — bring on the rains. The Younger Women are just walking around, like, looking for a camp site. Gag me with a spoon already. And now we are putting a criminal chalk line in the shape of a heart around a dead turtle in the sand. Shane on La Mina confesses a 3 pack a day smoking habit and going through withdrawals.
Misty looks for the idol on Exile Island.
Immunity Challenge, Misty returns. Jeff shows them the idol. Three tribes win immunity, one tribe to TC. In the water, climb over a wall, swim to get a raft, release it from under the water, paddle in to shore, complete a brain teaser, get a grappling hook and retrieve a flag.

My choice to vote off is: Cirie
Tina- is voted out.
Cirie was my vote from the top of the show, but Tina (or Lumberjack Lady as Cirie called her) pushed too hard and made herself out to be too good; therefore, the one to beat. Of course they had to vote her off. Fish or no fish.

Good assessment. That’s pretty much my assessment. I didn’t think they had to vote Tina off so soon. But I thought at the tribal council she irritated them by saying she was the only one really working.
I would have voted for Cirie too … irritating.
I thought Misty was clever to leave the impression she might have found the hidden idol on Exile Island.
I am hopelessly addicted to Survivor – but it has not been as good as the earlier seasons. I think because they spend more time in commercials and less time getting to know the people. It seems like they just move from challenge to challenge without spending as much time in the day to day activities and interactions in the camps.

The the last few seasons have been awful compared to the first few. Almost painful actually. They do spend too much time on commercials and challenges than they do on tribe interaction.
